Mangold:

For me the biggest issue at play wasn't just it's about fathers and daughters, but about love and what is it, and can you reach across these boundaries? So many of us are caring for aging parents at this point in our lives and the really interesting questions about our lives being asked through the behaviors and feelings of these superheroes as opposed to questions we're never faced with which is "How are we going to defeat this galactic super villain? There is something to be rung out of the rag that's really interesting and we haven't seen before. That's what we're all looking for is something new, some new angle on life on these characters we really adore.

This bit from the Joblo interview really got to me and has me feeling good about this film and what it has to say.

Wow that second trailer continues to deliver. Not a huge fan of the X-Men films but this looks awesome.

Terrific trailer. This is gonna be one fantastic movie. :D

This is going to be absolutely fantastic. Xavier's voice-over made me cry. Goddamn, this film is going to destroy us all.

The cameo of Rogue and Storm in the comic book is the best part of the trailer!

Well...it at least looks like it will deliver on action.

Holy crap...this is an X-Men film? This is a comic book film?

That was pretty amazing. I liked the use of "Hurt" in the first one, but this one rams it up without making it feel bloated. It feels more intimate and personal, which makes it feel less like a comic book film and more like...a film.

I was sold already, but this just made me more excited, even though I resisted wanting to watch this just to go in as blind as possible after that first trailer.

Ok, I'm hyped. Like BvS/ Avengers type hyped. This could be Fox's X-Men masterpiece. A quiet, emotional, character orientated, drama/ thriller with visceral action. This looks so on point. This doesn't feel like a Xmen film, doesn't feel like a comic film. Kudos to Mangold and kudos to Fox for letting Mangold and Jackman do this. And the best part? We still barely know anything about the story, I mean, we have a general idea, but you can tell they're concealing a TON from this movie. :)

That girl looks like she's going to be the star of this film. This looks great. I will say though it seemed kinda weird the X-men story was turned into a comic book in the film universe itself.

Yea, seems like there's finally a film that could achieve the TDK league. A non-flashy personal drama based on comic book characters. Man I hope there will be more comic book films like this.

Epicness all around. Can't wait for March!

Has it been confirmed whether or not X-23 will have her foot claws?

I haven't heavily analyzed the trailers, but it kind of looks like she does.

Something about X-23 comes across as effing scary. Like an even more mentally screwed version of Hit Girl.

I think this was a brilliant idea. Especially Wolverine in the classic suit, of course, which was something people wanted to see and thanks to this clever idea, they brought it into the Jackman's Wolverine film, who will never wear that dress, since this is his last film.

That was an amazing trailer. So effortlessly badass.
