Oh and for specifics -- I think the exact word I used was if she "wanted" to go and watch the movie the following day. This was after she'd asked me out the day before and I had to say no. I guess it's a missed contest on my end. Oh well.

So basically, this girl asked you out and you said 'I'm sorry, I have to work that night'... and didn't follow that up with 'but i'd love to go out another night, when are you available?'

You just said no. And let her walk off, rejected...

And then the next day, you approach her and ask her out for another day? Like you've given it some more thought and maybe she is worth you're time actually...

Yeah, I can see why her no was cold. You made he feel like a second thought.

He should have followed up with I've got to work, but let's get together on Saturday.
 
That's funny. I just broke it off with a 37 year old I was dating because I (at 28) am not ready for a family, and she seemed to want something more serious and long term.

I mean, seriously. I mean, I admit, I'm sure there are times where I can be a bit "grabby" when a girl doesn't like it, and I don't realize it and I continue to do so. But if a girl mentions something about me touching her in what could be taken in a negative light, I stop, even if it could be construed as "playful". I had a girl tell me once "you sure are 'grabby' today", and she said it with a smile and a laugh, but I took that as my cue to stop being so grabby, because she's probably mentioning it because she doesn't want me to be. Although that same girl told me at a later time she doesn't mind it, she knows that I'm more physically affectionate like that and she's cool with it, but still, there's a time and a place and sometimes you just need to be like "okay, we've reached our quota for the day". If she feels the need to mention it, you're probably reached that quota. This whole "she said it playfully", and "why would she do action-x if she didn't like it" sounds like the me of a few years ago - "WHY WOULD SHE BE THE ONE TO SAY 'HI' TO ME WHEN PASSING EACH OTHER AT WORK IF SHE DIDN'T WANT MY P IN HER V????????"

Alrighty, guys. Has anyone here ever been in, or know somebody who has been in, a relationship that started when the guy has asked the girl he likes to be his "+1" to a wedding?
 
Relationships can happen anytime and anywhere.

It shouldn't matter if it starts off as friends in school, co-workers at work or being someone's +1 at a wedding.
 
Ok boys and girls, I just got back from my weekly get together AND the 20 something was there. If as you say she WAS SO offended by what I did, she would have avoided me like the plague.

WELL, not only did I give her a RIDE to our drinking establishment, I GAVE her a ride home , same as aways! THERE WAS NO AWKWARDNESS AT ALL! AND SHE COULD HAVE TAKEN A RIDE WITH ANYONE OR CAUGHT THE BUS!We chatted as usual with NO worries! :doh: Ha!

so I was RIGHT AND YOU ALL WERE WRONG! In fact, I am seeing her this Friday! Explain that!

Let me just say that if I did what I did to any other girl, then YES, you might be correct, but her NO! I KNOW HER!

SO THERE YOU HAVE IT! HAVE FUN EATING CROW! BOY, its No wonder some of you HAVE not even a sniff of a female! :awesome::doh::funny:

I know............. thing is I wasn't sure if did have the Saturday off as well. When I got a confirmation and spoke to her again she was already playing with the Frost Giants.

Hey, timing and luck. I thought that was the key to all those good relationships? I'll see if anything works in the future, though I highly doubt it.

But hey, at least it wasn't as dramatic as the last girl. I'm considering this as progress :funny: :woot: :dry: :csad:

I have to confess that last night I cheated on my fiance.

You see first, I was watching The Dark Knight Rises and the next thing I know I'm sitting on a bed with Olivia Munn and we start making out.

We fool around some more then we go outside and her roommates are putting transformers toys in the car for charity.

It was then I realized that the place where we were, was my childhood home.

Woke up later feeling mighty guilty.
 
That's horrible, Erz. Almost as horrible as me colon massaging She-Hulk in my car last night. She clenched a little and almost broke it off, but luckily my leather seats didn't get damaged.

Speaking for just me, I am pissed. I hate it when you are right and it is my life goal to live to see the day when you are wrong. Because we live in a comic book and we are mortal enemies for stupid reasons.
 
I was wrong on everything else. I admit that. I was right this one time.
