Tech friends... found a laptop i am looking to buy and it has this upgrade for only $25 extra... is it worth it? will i still be able to connect to 802.11? just trying to see whats the real difference for only $25?

AX is just the latest generation of Wi-Fi. It's backwards compatible with all previous Wi-Fi standards. So if your router is an AC or N router, you won't have any trouble connecting with the AX laptop. The extra $25 would allow you to future proof though. Once AX becomes more of the standard, you'll be able to take advantage of the improvements in speed and bandwidth that AX has over AC and other previous gens.
