My post from yesterday:

I have got a hot take, ya'll. I saw my first Transformers movie, it's the most reviled one (or is it ROTF, I'm not sure) until The Last Knight came along.

I Loved it. I actually really liked Age of Extinction. Michael Bay can direct epic action like no one else's business. There are still parts of it that I just can't get myself to like but the overall end product satisfied me. :D :D

Maybe not seeing the first 3 movies helped because there was no boring, monotonous (been there, done that) phase in the movie. Plus the action rocked, it just rocked.

Also the humor was excellent in AOE. Hound, Ironhide and Bumblebee were very good & Stanley Tucci was awesome. :D :D

I actually like all of them to some degree. But, I only watch them for fun and don't take them seriously, so I don't get bent out of shape by the ridiculously stupid elements in them. I don't care.

Ironhide wasn't in AOE.

Damn straight. Gimme some style over substance. Some of the concepts in AoE were ridiculous, but I seriously didn't mind 'em. Dammit, when Bay gives me a gigantic friggin' robot chomping on Cigar-Blaster thing cracking jokes left and right and wrecking s**t up. I'm all aces. :D :D

Ironhide wasn't in AOE.

Then it was someone else from the Autobots team. Whoever it was, he was cool.

Especially when it's John ****in' Goodman. :woot:

Drift (blue) or Crosshairs (green)?

The only line from AOE that I found funny was Stanley Tucci shouting "How do you say Get the f*** out of the way in Chinese?" :funny:

Say whatever you want about Bay but he's pulled in some amazing actors in his movies. Sir Anthony Hopkins being the latest.

In the TF movies alone, including voices. Hugo Weaving, Jon Voight, John Turturro, Leonard Nimoy, Frances McDormand, John Malkovich, Mark Wahlberg, John Goodman, Ken Watanabe, Stanley Tucci, Anthony Hopkins, Steve Buscemi.

I think it's Crosshairs. Even Drift was nice. The way he riled up Bumblebee in the desert were the Autobots reunited was cool.

It was my favourite group of Autobots since the first movie. It works much better when it's a smaller group. Although, I would've loved Sideswipe to stick around. I was actually disappointed when I found out that the green corvette wasn't Sideswipe, but Crosshairs is cool.

I really want to see Tucci's character again in another TF movie. He's awesome.

I really wish they hadn't listened to the complaints and made the faces of Transformers more human-like. Kinda takes away their alien look.

He got freaking Buzz Aldrin to make a cameo.

The remastered colour looks great. I always thought BvS had more vibrant hues than MOS. The score, not so much. Which is why I am still worried about someone other than Junkie or Zimmer scoring a Snyder DCEU movie.

The new colors are great and they are less gray and muted. I think BvS had the better score, the only tracks I don't listen to are the ones with Lex's theme.

I can't agree with that I think MOS is the best superhero score since Batman '89. I liked some of BvS but mostly I wasn't a fan of that score overall. I never sit and listen to it as I do with MOS.

Out of curiosity and boredom started watching The Transporter, since I've never seen it before; stop half way through, just bored, but Qi Shu is so hnnnnnggg :ilv:

Yup, this is one thing that I'll never be able to overlook. The designs of the Autobots and the Decepticons are ugly as sin. I have no idea how to make them look more presentable but any improvement over the current one will be appreciated.

I love the first Transporter movie. I have seen the movie countless times on TV. It was a regular feature on TV when I was a kid. Jason Statham was such a silent badass. I loved the rules but I was so glad that he opened the package.

I have no problem with the tone of it, I think I just don't like the way is filmed and the score, I dunno.

Oh, I get it. I'm not sure if I'll like it nao. I haven't seen the movie in years.

The score you say, it was more Hip-Hop/Gangsta influenced right?? Then I can see why you wouldn't like it.

Random question, I just looked up Batman Mask of the Phantasm on Wiki and saw that it was a flop, it couldnt even recoup its $6million budget, how the Heck is that even possible? With the cartoon as popular as it was at the time, and Batman as a character being popular due to Burton, and it being a critically acclaimed movie, how the Hell did it do so badly?

The marketing campaign was atrocious. I remember there being almost none of it when it hit theaters. Siskel and Ebert never even saw the movie, until much later when it was on home video. They said they regretted it because it was a terrific film.

I'm a big fan of the Stath. He's just what an action movie bone-head should be. If he was American his career would have been huge.

If he was active in the 80s and 90s, he would be.
The guy stands out as well as he does because he does all these action flicks, the kinds you'd expect from that era.

He should work more with Guy Ritchie.

He has a Shark or whale movie coming up next year, MEG. It's going to be WB's big movie in the summer. WB are banking on him big time.

Also the cockney bastah married Rosie Huntington Whitley. Grrrrrrrr

I really like Dark of the Moon.

I saw AoE a couple of days ago and I loved it. 'Twas my first Transformers movie.

Ha! I love both, but DOTM is my favourite Transformers movie. I really like AoE too. It took the series in a new direction, and Bay's action sequences were top-notch. Lockdown was a bad-ass villain.

If Bay had applied some effort in TLK, it could have been great.
