Anyone else just feel meh about Daniel Craig's Bond run?

One great film and the rest are just meh to okayisssh. Also, the Bond fandom is even more nitpicky than cb fans. lol

I'm kinda disappointed that he is back and we arent starting fresh. The last film he was starting to show his age.It does not make sense to me to bring Craig back knowing you will have to reboot/recast the character 4 years from now. I also always wanted to see a much younger Bond on film, but even the age thang is not accepted by Bond fans. He must be very late 30s or in his 40s! lol

He was a brilliant change to what was expected from Bond in his first film. That's still one of my all time favourite Bonds. The others have been fine without setting the world alight. Age is an issue with Bond for me as it could be hard to pull off being a veteran spy otherwise.

and become a cold blooded killer. This is why I love Casino Royale so much, we saw him kill for the first time and actually fall in love, but then it became the same Bond we all know. That character is a bit boring to me. I want to follow rookie 27 year old Bond. Eh. Craig Bond is starting to look like Moore did towards the end of his run.

We already have 50 films with veteran spy. Something new couldn't hurt, but nostalgia is hell of a drug.

Only difference between my ranking and yours is that Spectre is an enjoyable mess, which I think is better than Quantum of Solace.

A french noir heist film written and directed by a blacklisted american director.

The heist part of the film is done in silence with no dialogue or score. Every detail on the screen. You can read their emotions as they sweat. lol


The car chase sequence at the end of the film is haunting. Now I understand why George Miller screened this to the cast before filming Fury Road.

I wasnt pitching a prequel. Bond is so good at his young age that he is recruited by M. Folks object to sending him into the field cause of his age, but M has full faith in him etc..We basically see a young bond like a young Michael Corleone transform himself into a cold blooded killer and just use women after losing his love, and being set up by another, that got his best friend and fellow agent killed. You go with him on his first kill. Hands are shaken etc. Nah, we getting Waltz being his bro and being behind every bad thang to ever happen.
