Just finished episode 2 of True Detective, I heard about Alexandra Daddario there but nothing could prepare me...hnnnnnnggghhh :hmr::hmr::hmr:

But I'm still not hooked; don't know if I'm just not in the right mood, or it is a really slow burner or the being half-high....but it hasn't clicked for me yet...

Am I missing something??

It could be you, but I was hooked on it from the very first episode. Episode 3 is where it really gets good and episode 4 is a masterpiece.

My favorite "award season" films so far this year, that I've seen, were Mudbound, Get Out, and I, Tonya. I hated Three Billboards and am sort of ambivalent about Lady Bird and Dunkirk (they're both well-made films, but they're also boring to me partly because they didn't bring anything new to the table). Suffice it to say, I found the Golden Globes to be a mixed bag.

It was sooo boring considered it was written and directed by a guy who gave us TDK, Prestige, Memento, Inception, Interstellar, I mean, wtf happened?

It was mostly atmosphere and I wanted to take it seriously but then two guys carrying a body had to walk a plank to meet the deadline of a ship's departure.

Um.. I don't think it's a polyamory thing. I think he split up with his wife.

Oprah's speech had me crying for 10 minutes

Really wish I could say the same harl.

It would be tough to find someone out there without such picture

everybody in hollywoodland had some kind of connection to real life jabba the hutt weinstein.

And not everyone stands up and gives important and timely speech during award show.

Most of the male dudes who wore the Time's Up button didnt even donate to the cause. Most ppl only care about stuff affecting their own thing inner circle. Unfortunately for women in the industry, even the so called ''good male allies'' don't care. All for show.

yea. most of them dudes is just crying crocadile tears.

this just the latest fad for them to get behind. cause celebre bs.

Hypocrisy of hollywood is a hell of a thing to watch.

Many folks with those pins and still working with Allen or Polanski etc.

Didn't Natalie Portman signed that petition in favor for Polanski?

when is justice gonna ever come for these two sons of *****es?

they get forgiven cuz they directed so many movies that people like.

I don't know, but Rose Mcgowan was about to sign a million dollar settlement before the Harvey news dropped, but now she leading a movement, which with no ego is called after her. She also worked with a convicted child molester. There are far better persons to lead this movement, but she aint one of them, but I cant say that in the other thread. :sly:

I felt bad for Del Toro after Portman's comment. One of the most underrated directors in Hollywood finally gets some recognition by them and he's gotta accept the award after being shamed that he's a male nominee. Come on man.

Jesus Christ now there is **** all over Franco. I need to change my avatar again

I swear Gosling and Isaac are the only two people I'm 1000% sure never did anything wrong.

I appreciate her intention but she did it in a crass way. She should have said "male nominnes AS CHOSEN BY HFPA" and it would make all the difference in the world

My head wants to lie down, but I'm forcing myself awake for no logical reason. Why do I put myself through such stupidity?

That's what I thought when I was watching it. Shame the ****ing organization not the nominees, is it their fault that they were nominated and were all men.
