Wait until wine o'clock kicks in....

Don't tempt me, I was able to stay sober yesterday (except for some Amsterdams finest action) and it seems my lighter does not work so so much for that endeavour tonight. Which is good, smoking even a little makes my skin all spotty, dry and itchy the next day. :whatever: My health is rather f***ed up, I can't eat or drink like 80% of the usual stuff and doctors said it's incurable so I stopped visiting them :funny: and trying to survive on my own, trying to find what makes the least problems to me.

Dunno what happened. I was totally ok when I was around 24, then I had to be hospitalized two times in one year, medication though infusions and all sh***y stuff... another hospitalization after some months... so I said f*** this, you can't help me, I'm going home. :funny: They said it's dangerous, so I said they'll treat me the way I want, since they were just pumping some s*** into me which was not helping that much at that point anyway, but they did not know what to do with me, they even wanted to try some experimental medication on me which I politely refused. :woot: Just a mess. And the funniest thing was, later I needed some papers, some confirmation I was in the hospital for that time and there were no records of that hospitalization when I told them they'll not put more of that crap into me... I couldn't believe it. But I was young and did not do anything about that. Nowadays it would be a completely another story. :funny:

Eventually I figured I cannot eat like nearly anything but at least I don't end up in the hospital, so that's a huge plus. :woot: And smoking and drinking is bad for me too, but... I can handle some very dry wine from time to time. The interesting thing is, my body just can't handle any kind of sugar. That's pretty weird, doctors wanted to make some tests on me but so far I was not in the mood. :funny:

Shame it's not anything we should be quite happy about. :funny:

So let's drink and smoke before the reaper comes... :woot:

Which reminds me of my fave metal album ever...

You're right dude, it's utterly bobbins but least we have the best Justice League film we could have expected to keep the real drama away...(Jim is tapped on the shoulder, shown the cinematic release of JL)....oh wait....

Shape of Water was very nice! It barely makes my top 10 at the moment but it's a beautiful film. Richard Jenkins was the MVP as is usually the case when he is in a movie

That sucks Consona, hope it's not as bad as it sounds...

Just saw "Three Billboards..."; I loved McDonagh's previous work so didn't expect anything less this time, I love his approach to everything particularly characters, their interactions and how they fit the whole narrative while being clearly defined almost immediately (to later on disrupt that perception).

Just great.

"I know he ain't her rapist...but he is A RAPIST" I'd give Rockwell all the awards and my own kidney for his performance

Also I had to pause the movie when Harrelson said "the lady...with the funny ****ing eye? Jesus Christ!" I was laughing so hard

Damn bro. Comments like this can be eye opening for me when I think about complaining about stupid **** in my life. I'm 30 and I've never had a health scare or spent time in hospitals before, **** I don't even have a single bad tooth and yet I spend a portion of my free time complaining about some movie company treating my favorite comic characters bad. It's ridiculous and when I see comments like that it becomes truly embarrassing for me. For real tho, wish you nothing but the best.

 I haven’t seen Shape of Water yet but so far Three Billboards is easily my favorite of the major Oscar contenders.

I'll protect him from Disney snipers with my own body. Tumblr and twitter is having a meltdown (positive one) over these comments, why must he torture people? With that beautiful grey in his hair and leather jacket? Too good :ilv:

On the bright side, at least on last day of my 16 day long vacation I finally did the one thing I was supposed to which was organizing clothes in my closet. Success! But I can't find two blouses which must be in another closet and that one is still a mess. And that will not get organized since beginning tomorrow I'm gonna have stacks of acts on my desk and coming home exhausted and back to 1-2 movies a week :(

My favorite is still Dunkirk, Logan and Wind River sadly have no shot. The most rewatchable is The Disaster Artist, though, I've seen the scene where Franco dances to Rhythm of the Night about 20 times already :funny: I Tonya and 3 Billboards are right after that one

Oh damn, forgot about Dunkirk for a minute, lol. Yeah that one’s still my fave but Three Billboards is damn close. I, Tonya and The Disaster Artist were both a lot of fun to me, but I don’t consider them particularly “Oscar-worthy” outside of a standout performance or two. Same for Lady Bird, tbh. I’d put Wind River well above those 3, but sadly I think it’ll be forgotten by voters.

The Disaster Artist and I, Tonya were just so damn entertaining. First one mixed hilarious and heartfelt moments so well. The latter was like a mix of Goodfellas, Black Swan and To Die For - not as good as any of those, sure, but it was just amazing to watch. I Tonya is my win for best ensemble of the year every single actor there used their screen time so well.

Honestly though having just seen The Shape of Water I don't understand...how these people nominating stuff operate :funny: Octavia Spencer was good but she didn't do anything nomination worthy. Hawkins misses my line up which atm is:
1. Margot Robbie, I, Tonya
2. Frances Mcdormand, Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri.
3. Jennifer Lawrence, mother!
4. Anne Hathaway, Colossal
5. Gal Gadot, Wonder Woman

And the score? Which may actually win tonight at GG? It's nowhere near what Zimmer did with Dunkirk and I love Desplat. Funny enough I didn't have one problem I thought I would, with her falling in love with the creature even though they don't communicate much, they did a good job establishing how lonely she was. But there were parts of the movie where the film just dragged. I. Tonya, 3 Billboards and many others don't have that problem. Time to prepare for Sally winning when it's really Margot who should.

I think the writers overdid it just a bit in trying to humanize T. Harding. She's not the innocent flower the film would have us believe. Performances were definitely solid, though.

Jessica Chastain seems to be a one note actress to me, but she plays that one note really good tho.
