I always liked Mark Hughes, he seemed like one of the good ones to me, but from a while ago he also seems to have fallen in the same self-aggrandizing, "Look at me, I said it first!! Let me prove I said it first a year ago!!", "I'm right and if you disagree with me you're wrong!" camp as the other pooper scoopers.

He said in the same piece (which goes on and on and on with just filler), that he always imagined Batman as "Bruce Lee like", around 5'7'' and 160 lbs (or something like that), and if you're not on board for that "is because you must not be a fan of Neil Adams' Batman" and other artists from the 70s.

Like...really dude?? Get your head out of your ass! He's having the same self-important attitude as people like Eh Maybe and others; real journalists understand that it is about the story, not about them, but this age of online journalism made it so these people feel in the spotlight and procure to make it all about themselves. Sad really.

If he occasionally brought something worthwhile to the table, I'd be willing to overlook his specious bull****. Thing is, he rarely if ever does. It's always the same with him, and by the same I mean pages upon pages of nothing. (Even Umberto comes through every once in a while!)

Anyway, I didn't even bother with his long-winded write-up this time around. Someone on the Batman forums—a gent by the name of Deck Rickard—was cool enough to abbreviate it for those just wanting the gist.

That Forbes article was more about the author fluffing himself than anything else. For those who don't want to waste time reading it, let me sum up the important things:

- The Penguin is in the movie.
- Jack O'Connell is in no way, shape or form on any shortlist and the only reason he was rumored was because this A-hole was banging on about how he'd be a perfect choice so much that other sites began thinking there was actually something to it.
- We're all just being impatient little babies who should hold our horses and not complain about the lack of Batman news because we've already gotten so many Batman movies and if we were as pious and righteous as the Great Mark Hughes, we'd know that WB is under no obligation to placate us.
- Mark Hughes apparently doesn't have an editor, because if he did, they would have cut this awful "article" down to a paragraph.

The one thing I agree with Hughes on tho, is that us Batman fans have indeed been very, very well fed through the years, we've had PLENTY! So I do think the community (or at least a certain sector) is being incredibly pushy and demanding when it comes to Batman and Superman, let's give other characters a chance to shine.

So this idiot basically gave one little tidbit that Penguin is in the movie which pretty much everyone assumed already.

While I'm personally all for other characters, who have never had a chance to shine, getting in on the spotlight, I feel like the studio still owes Superman's character his proper due.

I mean we finally got the ball rolling (for better or for worse) when MOS came out. Then Warner Bros got greedy and had his sequel hijacked in order for a new Batman to be introduced. And despite all of that, we were supposed to get some kind of conclusion to his rough arc in "Justice League", only for all of that to be thrown away by again the Studios.

No other live action character has gotten screwed over as many times and as badly as by their own studios like Superman has over the years.

Eh. People are getting impatient because WB announced the movie. And then there is all the drama and Matt Reeves imho getting way more power than he deserves.

Cavill had his chances but because they were handled by Snyder they failed to make the audience love him like WW and AQ. They are both done in this franchise and they had chances they just failed. IMHO neither MOS 2 nor Snyder's JL would make a difference. Cavill shone in redone JL but it was too little too late

Oh GOD!! I tried to avoid the Hellboy trailer for so long because i knew i was gonna be dissapointed for what i read from @Greenlite but today i said to myself: **** it! go and watch it, and OH ****!, OH GOD! **** is sad :waa: i was at the 00:29, first "joke/comedy" in and im done

RN im really pissed at Marvel and Disney, they have really shape the comic books genre, what ppl expect in these movies, the way producers/directors think the tone and script should be

It feels like i watched a really bad Adam Sandler movie when i saw the Thor movies and it seems like this trend is spreading and im not happy with that, i hope DC wont do that, so far i could enjoy SS and AM the films closer to that, and i guess that's the reason i trully enjoyed the Nolan's trilogy, MoS, SR, WW, JL and BvS so.... don't fail me WB!

By the way... Hellboy already lost me, im not gonna watch that ****! Im gonna pretend that Del Toro films are the only ones

I don't need Snyder, Cavill nor Affleck in this new sh**ty DCEU.

Maaaaaaan, this is so well-composed I can't stop listening to it. Herrmann, you madman! :argh:

I haven't seen JW3 trailer yet. The first film was "WTF, this is so awesome, why didn't I see this in the cinema???!!!" While JW2 was like "they are trying to do the same, but it sucks, all the modern-myth-feeling is not there", so I don't have any high expectations for the third one.

Have some faith, usually the first sequels sucks or don't live the expectations :o im still excited tho, i liked the ending in the 2nd film :ndd:
