So I asked my sister, who has a Masters in writing and over a decade of experience in the field, if she'd help me out by editing my first book since she told me she had a lot of free time coming up.

I asked her in April and she agreed so I sent her the book and she said she'd get on it. I told her I'd pay her whatever when she finished and we both agreed on working out the payment when it was done. It was almost five months ago and I assumed if there was any upcoming issues or anything then she'd let me know if she wasn't able to/wasn't interested in doing it.

Yesterday she just told the famil at the gathering we had that she didn't bother doing anything with it. At all. Because she didn't feel like it.

So instead of letting me know at any ****ing point in the past few months and I could have either done it myself or paid someone else to do it, she just ignored the thing so I wasted five months where I could have done the damn thing myself. I was hoping to get the book online by this point.

She is and has always been a *****.

I'm checking out the gigs on fiverr so I can find someone to do the same editing. So far, I've found one or two that look like they'd be willing to do the length of the book for a decent price and they state delivery of 10,000 words in under a day.

Once I get some cash together then I might be able to get my book out in the next couple weeks.

Da fug? Seriously... DA FUG?! As someone in the field you would think your own sister would understand your perspective on something like this. I mean... JEEEEZZZZZUZZZZ! Sorry this had to happen to you Kev, and double sorry it was done by someone so close to you. In Bird Culture that's definitely a dick move. Hell... ALL CULTURES. Best of luck with getting someone with a pro eye to check out your work. Personally I think the idea is fantastic and I could see you getting a whole series, hell, a whole universe out of the idea.
