Tom Jane doesn't need me to needle people about forgetting him. Tom Jane exists whether we are aware of it or not. Possibly in spite of it.

I love that 2004 Punisher movie, it has a couple of awkward moments or a few more. War Zone is a magnificent piece of awkward mess and cartoony over the top violence.

I liked that Punisher movie quite a bit as well. :)

I liked Jane's PUNISHER....it wasn't perfect, but pretty damn good.

One of my favorite scenes is the Popsicle torture scene, it leaves one question dangling though; how did that sweet ice stay cold as long as it did?

Really would've liked to see where they could've gone with a sequel to Jane's Punisher. Would've been preferable to the next Punisher film we ended up getting, I'd have honestly preferred getting nothing to getting Warzone. Warzone is one of the worst films I've seen, Stevenson was the only thing about the movie that wasn't a disaster.

War Zone is gif and meme fiesta to me. One of the best comments made about it is "It looks like a fan made web movie".

Jane's Punisher has a special place in my heart as they filmed it in Tampa. Glad the new Netflix series has found a home for Frank though, Punisher has always been a fave.

Are decapitated heads okay to post on the hype?

I didn't love Jane's Punisher film, but I didn't dislike it either. It was decent, imo. The Netflix version is tops, though.

I am loving The Tick.

It's da beez knees. It's serious enough that there's actual character development and stakes but it for sure plays with the absurdity of the super hero genre. Adult humor is also a plus. The wait for new episodes is gonna kill any momentum the show has though.

Yeah, I've been a fan of Ben Edlund since the Warburton series. He did some great work on Firefly and Angel, but I haven't watched anything else he's done in like a decade (outside of an episode of Gotham), so it's nice to see him back with something of interest again. But yes, 6 half-hour episodes are not enough!

Edlund also did work on The Venture Bros. Have you ever given the show a chance flick? It's very much in the vein of this new Tick show, plus the Venture mythology is godly. Rich with tons of concepts and characters.

No I've never watched Venture Bros (not generally an Adult Swim fan). But it's on the list.

Give it a go. It's really good in it's first season but after it goes into overdrive. It's starts as a general satire of the old Hanna Barbara Johnny Quest toon but it quickly morphed into a loving parody of all things pop culture with a focus on super hero/comic book stuff. Best part is, it's very serialized. They throw huge curves and changes to the status quo. If that doesn't sell you then what if I told you Patrick Warburton voiced a main character? I can't recommend it enough flick. Definitely get on it pronto and stick with it through the first season.

Will do.

Sounds just like what you'd expect from that show. Is Punisher parody in it yet?

I feel that in some fashion Guts' ominous pictures answered your question.

But to give you a written answer... Kinda sorta. There's a kill crazy, dark violent avenger of the night called Overkill. He's obviously supposed to be in the wheelhouse of the Punisher. Also he has a boat who is voiced by Alan Tudyk. :woot:

K-2SO was reborn as a boat.

Guts photos are actually clues to his location... like a saw movie... each one means something... we just have to find out what the common factor is... this son of a ***** can't keep getting away with this.... THIS SON ON OF A ***** IS GOING DOWN.
