I feel really bad for the newer generation of kids/people. They are so spoiled. I understand that a lot of people feel that way about newer generations. Even when I was a kid/teenager I'm sure there were sections of people who thought we were spoiled with our Nintendo's and Sega Gensis.

But I don't know...there are people who I've talked to who can't even navigate in their cars without a GPS. Seriously?!

I'm in that generation pre-Internet and post-Internet. I remember getting AOL in 1994 and it was like opening up this whole new world of awesomeness. You went into chat rooms and your mailbox got filled with porn. As a 14 year old boy at the time it was the greatest thing on earth. Then there were the "warez" rooms where you got free software and PC games.

Then they had to go and regulate things! Jerks! The Internet is cool and everything still but it was NOTHING like it was back when it first started.

I remember when we got our first home computer. It was 1994 and I was around 9 years old. I still remember the dial up sound and playing Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego!

I remember our first computer too, my dad would never let me on it because it was for "serious business" When I finally snuck on, I discovered he had a crap ton of games on the desktop, bastard.

The constant thought running through my head is just how tired I am. I work a crazy Nightshift/Afternoon Shift schedule and my Circadian rhythm is completely out of whack. It's like a really terrible drummer inside my head banging away at her drums.

Not sure if i ever had a dial up growing up, but we were working on DOS when i worked at blockbuster. the monitor for the register had that digital blue background with 8-bit green and purple letters. and no mouse, had to type in code commands like CASH 18.50 or shist+ for a customers history. and if i made a mistake, i had to restart computer.

That's actually exactly what it looks like.

I guess we know what the YT staff is doing most of the time. It would explain the lack of maintenance on the broken subboxes.

I'm still holding in there. I usually forget to shave during finals so I'll be like this for another week. I may go see my old students though, so I'll have to spruce up so I went traumatize them.

I also had a blind assistant once who probably traumatized them with her story about how she went blind. It involved being in a fight and a jagged shard of glass....

The sucky part about the new Youtube layout is that it still displays my favorites and liked videos in a playlist format if I click on them from the drop down. I have to keep going through my history just to have the videos listed normally. I hate Youtube playlists.
