The sucky part about the new Youtube layout is that it still displays my favorites and liked videos in a playlist format if I click on them from the drop down. I have to keep going through my history just to have the videos listed normally. I hate Youtube playlists.

LOL of course the first thing I do is go to YouTube and my first thought was, "HOLY S***!"

I like Google's way of designing - a little bit at a time. Gmail and Google Docs LOOKS different but it's nearly not drastic a change as this. Everyone always balks at big user interface changes.

Seriously. It looks like poop.

The interface for subscription updates sucks now. Instead of laying out all the videos uploaded by __________ subscriber you now how have to click on a useless fine print bs tab to see the other videos. I guess they're trying to make it fairer for smaller channels so bigger one's don't constantly clutter our feed but still its frustrating.

Why would they complicate things when it was more accessible and easier to watch videos from the people I was subscribed to before?

I've had an account since early 06 and none of their past layout updates have been this ugly or counterintuitive . The vertical only video listing really makes it feel small and claustrophobic.

The horizontal video layout was far better. I seriously don't know what they're thinking.

Yeah I saw the preview of this current layout weeks ago, I played around with it and it's even worse. I miss the old simple youtube, adding the HD option was the last good update.

honestly i dont need a news feed on my YT. i dont care what others are watching. if i go on youtube its to find something specifically so alls i really need is a search bar

Never had that problem. Mostly because I don't have a cellphone of any sorts.

I didn't mention a cellphone, and never had my HD near a cellphone

I use my cell phone to:

send quick notes to friends
to purchase stuff off Ebay
find me movie times
check on sports scores
find me the names of songs playing on the radio
program my dvr
change my netflix queue

I mean yeah, I can do all these things on a computer. But I don't carry a computer with me when I'm out and about.

I used it for calls, text messages, listening to soundtracks, and use the internet at times

I remember when we got our first home computer. It was 1994 and I was around 9 years old. I still remember the dial up sound and playing Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego!

We had ours in 1996

I remember our first computer too, my dad would never let me on it because it was for "serious business" When I finally snuck on, I discovered he had a crap ton of games on the desktop, bastard.
