Getting out of a cable contract is like dealing with the mafia. All I use now is an antenna, Sling TV, and Pluto TV which is free.
*sigh* This is exactly what I'm trying to do (+HBO, Hulu and Amazon). And I thought I was home free. Oh what a sweet summer child I was. I just hope Verizon's DSL will be able to support these streaming services. I live alone, so I won't ever need multiple streams or anything, but DSL seems so...ancient, lol. Right now the satisfaction of ditching Cox feels worth the gamble, though.

Well the "FC cancels her cable" saga continues...I signed up for Verizon DSL last night, called Cox today to cancel outright, and wouldn't you know it? Suddenly the original $87 offer the lady I spoke to yesterday said was bogus was suddenly back on the table! This guy I talked to had "no idea why she would say it was $125. That's way too high!" No ****, Sherlock. So anyway, I took it, and made sure he sent me a confirmation this time and cut off my cable and made the changes to my account WHILE I was on the phone with him. I don't want to stick with them, but that's the only way I can get the speedy, cable internet I've grown accustomed to since they're the only ones wired into my building, so it was that or DSL. And DSL was truly a last resort (and only $15 cheaper for a much slower speed to boot). Crossing my fingers this sticks. Now I just gotta cancel my Verizon order...

Because the cheese is built into the cracker, not a separate ingredient. You wouldn't want to put a slice of cheese on a peanut butter sandwich, but using cheese buns instead of bread to make a peanut butter sandwich might just work. Go with God.

Put some butter and a small amount of shredded cheese on two pieces of bread and broil it in the oven until the bread and cheese is browned. Then use the bread to make a peanut butter sandwich.

Been watching The Boys, holy hell. What a show

Harry Potter books removed from school library because they contain 'real' curses and spells

A Roman Catholic school in Tennesseehas banished JK Rowling's universally popular series of Harry Potter novels from its library shelves after its pastor took exception to their portrayal of magic, warning the spells and curses the author describes are real and “risk conjuring evil spirits” when read.

The Reverend Dan Reehill explained his decision in an email to the parents of students at St Edward Catholic School in Nashville, declaring that he had consulted with exorcists in the US and at the Vatican before outlawing the seven-volume tale of the boy wizard’s career at Hogwarts and his battle against Lord Voldermort and the forces of darkness.

“These books present magic as both good and evil, which is not true, but in fact a clever deception. The curses and spells used in the books are actual curses and spells; which when read by a human being risk conjuring evil spirits into the presence of the person reading the text,” the Reverend Reehill wrote, apparently in all seriousness.

:loco:

That fools never read a Harry Potter book in his life.

I won't lie, if I could use that stupefy spell in real life I would.

There's no resisting Reek Goodman when he puts on his shiny shoes.

I saw last night Kevin Hart was in a bad car accident with serious back injuries. Hope the little guy pulls through. Despite some of his controversies I don't think he's that bad a guy.

Not much available on the extent of his injuries, hope he's okay.

So, I've cautiously decided to not visit the Joker's forum for now. For in there all who disliked the film are fools or haters apparently.

Like, chill man, the movie will be a hit, no need to bash different insights!!!

I need older film savvy minds in the likes of @C. Lee and @KRYPTON INC. to chime in on this. Your eyes have surely seen more ''B'' level erotic type of trash films than mines, so your input is greatly appreciated.

Have gone thru the rabbit hole of some late 80s-90s B level french flicks for my friends podcast. Emmanuelle Seigner seems to be the star in most of them or at least keeps showing up. I know she is mostly known as being the wife of Roman Polanski etc, but she is fearless in her performances, like you get an odd feeling just watching her act. She is the goddamn She Devil in the flesh. The type of hnnngh that I don't think I could handle, but then you look at Polanski and his midget stature and old age, then you go, eh I can keep up. Anyway, I think she might be in my top three now of greatest B level on screen dames. There is a scene in one of the many Polanski films she did, where she pours milk on her chest and never blinks, Meryl Goddamn Street could never. That succubus beauty would eat you alive, even now.
