Studios should take notice. So often the prospect of a contemporary remake/redux/late sequel is shamed on the internet.

There is some mechanism happening here that is allowing this to be wholly embraced and even celebrated. I won't accept that it's a simple matter of it looking slick, most remakes that that easy enough(especially with the shooters). Maybe it's the original creators being attached?

Having Miller attached probably has a lot to do with it, yeah. Plus it doesn't seem like a wild departure from the previous movies. I assume Hardy must be pretty well liked by the vocal online crowd as well. I could see a lot of anger had different talent been cast.

I think it has to do with the original creator making a film he has long been wanting to do, and seemingly still having in 2014 the same kind of ambition he had when he made the originals, but now he has more experience and advanced technology to play with.

Mad Max's is Miller's baby, so people have faith that he gets it and knows what he's doing. And that seems to be the case here.

He's not pulling a George Lucas :-X

I think cause the younger generation hasn't seen the other Mad Max movies. To them this all new.

These kids know who Michael Jackson was, but don't remember 'Thriller'...I remember "thriller'' and I never wanted to meet him.

Now that was a ****ing badass trailer. Hopefully this doesn't disappoint.

This was an impressing demonstration, anyone knows how much they spent in the film? Because it looks amazing visualy, i just hope the plot doesn't disappoint.

That trailer was absolutely fantastic.

Fanboys dig Hardy and he gets the benefit of the doubt by default. The addition of Miller also helps.

I think this is the most exciting thing to come out of SDCC for me.

This looks ******* awesome. The Road Warrior is one of my favourite films, so ecstatic for this.

So what exactly is the story of this film?

explain.

not enough collapsed new york skyscrapers? :woot:
It is called the sarcastic smiley for a reason; :cwink:

Looks fantastic.

I love Hardy. But im sad Mad Mel isn't in it. I grew up watching Mad Max , and always saw him as the ultimate badass.

Pretty sure that was Mad Max in there. :funny:

That trailer blew me the F away. I've watched it like, 10 times already.

It looks absolutely GORGEOUS while retaining the rusty, dirty Mad Max visuals. Miller also looks like he succeeded in bringing back the outlandish look of the of the world in general from the vehicles to the whacked-out looking characters. The energy and edge looks intact. It's almost like Max never left.

I can't wait for this. Seeing The Road Warrior for the first time as a kid was one of the those magical film moments that you never forget as a kid. It left a very big impression on me. Consider me totally pumped.

Might have something to do with it being the only full and traditional trailer to come out of there for our and public consumption. As cool as clips for things are, trailers are designed to sell films imo.

I'm not surprised alot of people may feel this way, that being said had we ourselves seens full trailers for the other various films for the first time..

My mom is one of those "it's not Mad Max without Mel" people who boycotts stuff like this.

I wonder how big that crowd is.

oh my effing lord that was amazing!
This looks beautiful and so dam bad ass. I don't think i will watch any more trailers for this as i am completely sold and don't need to see anymore until its the real deal.

It really makes me wonder what Miller would have done with the justice league

FYI regarding the screening at the AMC 16 in Burbank on Wednesday: Theres been a rep offering passes since Friday and was even there this morning. If anyone from the Hype is interested he may be there Monday morning but nothing is confirmed.

If you do just keep in mind its for 1 person and a guess and both must be 28 years old or younger.

Testing a specific range of audience, likely from 13 to the mid-20 something given the rating they're aiming for. The last screening had no restriction.

This wouldn't happen to be from something like PreviewFreeMovies would it?
