Mad Max: Fury Road - Part 1

The Road Warrior works well as a sequel. There is very clear logic in the transition between the two films. Namely the passage of time and how farther out Max continues to go.

I agree. In fact the end of the first Mad Max is crucial to The Road Warrior. That's why we are greeted with this "burnt out shell of a man". A good few years has passed between the two films and Max has ventured further out into the wasteland.

Plus you can just say for the first film Miller didn't have the budget to do what he really wanted to do. With Road Warrior he did.

Fury Road, can't wait until it comes out

Ace of Spades by Motorhead and Mad Max. Seems like a peanut butter and jelly kinda deal. [YT]GwnwaBN4-Lk[/YT]

Tina Turner's contributions to the legacy of Miller's movies. Great edit job.[YT]o0GS3xOB1DY[/YT]

Needless to say, for KRYPTON INC. the hype train has definitely left the station. Miller is unsung as a director and hopefully this reminds people of why the Mad Max films were so popular and influential.

What I find awesome is that Hugh Byrne is the villain again. How incredible is that?

Really? Holy crap, I had no idea. So is this like an DOLLARS TRILOGY thing? Like Van Cleef being in two films as two separated characters? I wouldn't complain, as it's been done before in the MAX films.

Some times I forgot how handsome Mel was in both Mad Max and Road Warrior. Almost at a Brad Pitt level. Then he hit that brick wall.

Yeah he's not playing Toecutter again.

Before last night I had never seen this Road Warrior poster.

It was painted by Noriyoshi Ohrai who also painted the poster for The Goonies and for the 80s and 90s Godzilla films.

So like Spence in ROAD WARRIOR and THUNDERDOME? Yeah, that's cool. It's very true to the MAX film's grindhouse/indie roots.

Huh? You're saying Bruce Spence was playing two different characters in Mad Max 2 and 3?

Yeah it's weird because in Thunderdome, there was no attempts to change Bruce Spence's appearance from The Road Warrior. He was pretty much playing the same character. Even the outfit is pretty much the same.

The trailer for this is a masterpiece and a work of art.

But then who is saying it's 2 different characters and not the one and the same?
It's been a while since I rewatched the entire trilogy but I never got the impression he was supposed to be someone else.

Jedidiah is a different guy , but overall similar character to the Gyro Captain who had never met Max before at least in the script. Its been several years since I've seen Thunderdome.

I remember reading some where that he played two separate characters a while back.

Totally agree. He's a character actor and honestly I think he prefers being a character actor but he has a very imposing and magnetic screen presence.

I don't really think he's a leading man type personality wise though. He's eccentric and doesn't like interviews or publicity.

Wasn't Christian Bale more private pre-The Dark Knight days? Maybe he'd learn as he become more well-known.

Bale still makes it pretty obvious he doesn't like doing interviews.

Is Bruce Spence going to be in this one too? I'd love that...

Hardy: Hello, I'm Ben.

Theron: WTF? Are you from South America or something?

isnt it weird that every official image has the same tint while the movie looks orange and saturated?

I like the orange and saturated looks much better for this type of sticky dessert heat setting. This looks ridiculously wild, can't wait!
