I swear, this movie will never reach my second-run theater! Pitch Perfect 2 got there 2 weeks ago. WE HAVE SHIRTS, WHEN WILL WE GET TO WITNESS AGAIN?!??!? :argh:

Loved Fury Road, watched it the other day and honestly it has a Road Warrior type feel in the sense of the chase scenes but also the fight choreography too and also the story of Fury Road is not only just about Max but it is also in a sense about Furiosa too and also Max he barely spoke in this film but the character of Max Rockatansky is a character of few words anyway so isn't that what it is all about? But in a sense Fury Road is kind of a sequel but not really, it is more or less a reboot, a Mad Max but for a newer generation

HNNNg,

A Mad Max weekend:

"That's my cereal bowl!"
"That's my TV!"
"That's my favorite football team!"
"That's my couch!"
"That's my beer!"
"That's my naptime!"

This is too awesome.

I hope he gets his car back in the next one. Also, give me a release date for the goddamn BR.

That Fury Road/Star Wars mashup is a thing of beauty.

Also, I need a release date for the Blu-Ray. I'm getting impatient!

The BLU-RAY comes out on the 5 October in the U.K so I imagine it'll come possibly a month early in the US.

I am VERY tempted to pick up that collector's edition, which I never do.

BO update.

Domestic: $150,602,312 41.1%
+ Foreign: $216,000,000 58.9%
= Worldwide: $366,602,312

I guess it's all up to WB at this point.

That's a good take for an R-rated movie in my eyes, hope WB feel the same.

I have a feeling that the VOD, syndication and BR sales will also prove profitable.

I FINALLY saw it in a theater Tuesday and despite being out for a while the theater was still about half full. I took a friend visiting from Sweden and she liked it, even though she was apprehensive upon learning it was a MAD MAX sequel. It was just a well made crazy thrill ride. Great escapist cinema that was simple but really well done.

I'm happy it hit 150mil, I'll take what I can get as far as box office milestones as concerned.

This is too awesome.

I know Lucasfilm is going for young up and coming directors, but anyone think Miller might be awesome for Episode 9?

He'd be great, but I doubt they'd be able to snag him due to his connections to WB and the fact that he's probably developing another Mad Max.

I rather see Mad Max: Wasteland and more of Tom Hardy than Star Wars thanks. Fury Road left me wanting more!
