How so?
I don't think that anybody in their right mind believes that a Mad Max film is winning big Oscars like director. A nomination would be a win. I'm still not holding my breath about it getting non tech noms.
Actress Joy Smithers, who played one of the Vuvalini, was on an Australian TV show and said she had read the script to the Mad Max sequel. She said they (the Vuvalini) were in it and Megan Gale's character The Valkyrie is a child in it. Joy said it's a prequel so hopefully she will get to be in it.

If Tom Hardy is supposed to come back, that doesn't make a lot of sense. Surely Hardy can't be much older than Gale.
Its somewhat implied that its been somehow 50 years or more since the time Max was a cop, basically that he would have to be the same age as the older vulvalini but I don't think it would do to call to attention to that weirdness.
IIRC on the tattoo that the Organic Mechanic put on his back, it said he was 33.Yeah, don't see that prequel happening, especially when Max looked in his 30's in FR. If Mel Gibson had reprised the role then I could see hem going down this route, but he didn't.
