But haven't you heard? That's discriminatory and hateful.

Wow, that's a nice wide polling group. You, AND everyone you know? are you sure you got that many people? Wow. I mean that's, what 20, maybe 50 people. I hope you didn't strain yourself asking that many people who you know share your values how they felt about abstinence, birth control, and what they were taught growing up. Wow, and you made it so diverse too. I'm impressed with your survey techniques. you've certainly put to bed any ideas I had to the contrary of what you were saying.
Go take a flying leap.![]()

Statements like that are a direct result of the warped view of "tolerance". That term originally meant respecting a person's opinion, but not necessarily endorsing it. Nowadays, a lot of folks equal any opposition with automatic hatred. I don't hate or despise people with a pro-choice or free-love stance. I refuse to endorse their views, but I'm not going to hate them, either. But haven't you heard? That's discriminatory and hateful.![]()
I've been listening to Ter talk about how sex is a right for 11 year old children to have. Abstinence is an abomination, and those who choose to adhere to it are insignificant. I'm getting a little tired. Ter refuses to face the fact that even with protection there is still a risk in having sex. It is potentially unhealthy, and there are sever emotional ramifications to having sex, especially at such a young age.Geez, what kind of bug's up your ass?

I have not said abstinence is an abomination. I said it's unpracticable and naive, that's all. If you want it nice for you but don't try to make it out as some golden standard becuase it never in the history of mankind worked, when not enforced through violenceTer refuses to face the fact that even with protection there is still a risk in having sex. It's not like we're enforcing the bible as law. We do not hate you, and frankly, I could care less what you choose to do.Yes it is! When these biblical notions of right and wrong result in laws that limit my freedom to decide with whom how often and when I want to have sex, then god damn yes it is!
You're right. You have that choice, and guess who gave you the free will to do so? God. The odds of the universe being formed by a cosmic accident are 1 in 100,000,000 to the 123rd power. Whether you believe it or not, the existence of the cosmos (including this planet) is enough to prove God's existence. You want to disbelieve, hate, and have casual sex out of your own foolishness? Fine...but don't insult people who choose to follow God, or His rules.
Just because you choose not to believe in something, doesn't make it any less true or applicable. i never said stoning was right; I just said it was the custom in Biblical times. You may want to take notice of the fact that Christ Himself said, "Let he who has no sin cast the first stone". God doesn't condemn people for making mistakes, but He does honor their choices, be it for Him or against Him.
Only if said children allow themselves to be condsumed by hatred or malice. If a child truly respects their parents, they'll trust their wisdom. It's the parents' job to raise kids properly, so they are deemed worthy of respect.
No one's taking your freedom away; we're merely challenging society's present attitudes about right and wrong with regards to sex.

When I do get a girlfriend, she and I will both be abstinent until our wedding, and proud of it.

Ok seriously, I do understand that is your decision and that's cool. Accidents can't happen that way and you will be safe.

Me: "Will you marry me?"
Her: "Yes!"
Me: "When?"
