How do you mean?

If Trump can win and say people have no right to protest at his rallies, it's only a small step to start moving towards taking away protest rights in other places. He's already said he wants to open up libel laws to allow him to sue his critics.

Can we get anymore redneck than this photo?

Jeez. Have we finally sunk to the lowest common denominator?

Except, that is already the case. A couple reasons why he already filed for re-election. One is so that his rallies are campaign rallies, not public rallies of the president. Granted, the main one is probably raising money and grifting a whole bunch of people, but this case isn't about protesters at his rally.

Just a reminder that the woman on his right was almost a heartbeat away from the Presidency and the party that almost put her there is the same one that gave us its current occupant.

It's not a matter of him winning and saying it nor is it a matter of him changing the law (as he would have to with libel laws). If anything you are asking for a change to the law. The First Amendment does not, and never has, protected against private action. Trump was a private actor in his campaigns. Provided that the rallies were not on public property, he has every right to ask people to leave.

Yeah, Matt isn't saying anything weird.

The case is about him inciting violence, not about whether he had the right to remove protesters from campaign rallies. Which again, is why he is already filed for re-election, because he doesn't have that ability when acting as President.

Also why Congresspeople are scared of townhalls, because they can't restrict protesters.

We have the leaders we deserve. 2018 is our first chance to show we deserve better.

Yes, but didn't Matt say that?

Matt, correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't it Obama in his last 2 years or so that passed more strict laws on where one can legally protest government functions? I recall an article about it but can't remember the specifics. Something to do with basically "designated protest zones" usually pretty far away from the actual event.

As far as Townhalls go, those folks aren't protesters, they are constituents. They are not happy. Usually, because they didn't vote for that person but several who did and now have buyers remorse as well.

As more and more folks realize these people don't necessarily have their best interest in mind expect the latter group to get bigger the further down the Trump rabbit hole we go.

It's annoying how much politics is devolving. I mean it has been for awhile, Rove did some nasty work, even against his own party (McCain for instance). It's just taking a sharper nose dive now.

In the current political climate it's ok for the president to treat an entire party like enemies. Hell, he calls judges, and anyone that doesn't agree with him enemies of America. He even tweets like an angsty teenager. We have celebrities, and Sarah Palin openly being disrespectful in the WH. A politician said he loves the new political climate, and grabbed a woman by the crotch. Members of our own government insult, and accuse allies, just because.

It's like Washington is becoming a reality TV show set in a Jerry Springer setting. I thought it was bad when a movie actor, Gary Coleman, and a porn star were running for governor of California. At least that just affected one state. This behavior is setting the tone for the entire country.

Here's a good question, why does it seem like it is always the Democrats responsibility to act like the adults in the room?

I am not even saying this as some compliment to the Dems, I know their problems, but they seem more like a normal Western political party then the GOP.

People were complaining that Obama's flag pin was not big enough, but those same people to shrug when Trump insults some random country for no reason. It seems like the bar is lowered for the GOP, so much, that they can get away with murder. Obama seemed more like a competent leader then Trump does, but people came up with a lot of BS complaints against him (like death panels and him being a secret Muslim) and are willing to forgive Trump for way worse deeds.

*Boy plays with matches*

Girl: Don't do that, someone might get hurt.

Boy: lol so elitist so triggered

*Boy keeps playing with matches, Mom and Dad do nothing*

Girl: *lists reason after reason this could end badly*

Boy: lol anti-fire propaganda

*Boy pulls out firecrackers, Mom and Dad don't care*

Girl: SERIOUSLY, WE'RE INDOORS! DON'T DO THIS!

Boy: YOU'RE YELLING AT ME, SO NOW I'M GONNA DO IT EVEN WORSE!

*Boy burns house down*

Mom and Dad: We get the arson we deserve.

Pennsylvania Senator Daylin Leach on the photo of Palin, Nugent and Kid Rock in front of the painting of Clinton.

I've got to say, that this photo led me into the hardest game of "F---, marry, kill" that I've ever played.

So with the Surgeon General replacement, does anyone know if Trump plans on actually replacing him, or is he just going to leave the Deputy in the new top spot?

Most likely leave empty. Do you have any idea just how many appointments haven't been made?

If I remember 554 position require confirmation.

24 have been formally nominated with 22 having been confirmed.
There are 35 more that have been informally nominated and are still waiting to be nominated formally, leaving 473 that don't have a nominee. Among those is the assistant secretary of diplomatic security, the person who's job it is to oversee diplomatic security abroad, make sure things like BENGHAZI!!!!! don't happen.

Then there are the thousands of empty positions in the government that don't require confirmation, or replacements for all of the US Attorneys that they fired last month.

But 45 was busy, that little ball won't knock itself around the course on its own.

I hear Bedminster is starting to worry, with Mar a Lago shutting for the season its suspected that 45 will move his weekends there as he often goes there during the summer. The thought of having all air in the region grounded, the nearby highways shutdown as well as the regular roads that will close, is not getting the locals very excited.

Is it just me or does Trump remind anyone else of President Logan from 24?

He reminds me of Logan's Run.

He reminds me of a **** I once took after I ate too many carrots.

Filling up the Oval Office with white trash. Disgusting. Absolutely disgusting.

Also conservatives had a field day with Obama's connection to Reverend Wright, but not a word about Ted Nugent who threatened to kill Obama and wrote a song about wanting to have sex with a 13 year old?
