Hot cast.

The only time studios uses TV spot's with critics quotes is when it's good review.

Premiere is tonight so reactions/reviews should be coming soon.

Just saw it tonight at a press screening in Houston. It's a very fun movie, if a bit formulaic. It'll definitely be remembered for Cavill and Hammer's great performances and their chemistry.

Does this movie have some classic Ritchie dialogue like what is found in Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels and Snatch? Or is this movie more mainstream Ritchie like Sherlock Holmes?

It's much more mainstream.

My friend and I expressed similar sentiments, wished it was more in vein of Lock, Stock etc but its toned down for wider audiences. Still fun movie but nothing really sticks with you.

Reviews don't seem to be too positive from the one's I've seen pop-up.

Damn. I wish Ritchie would occasionally return to his roots. With him being attached to the King Arthur franchise Im afraid it may never happen.

I'm honestly not sure Ritchie has that in him anymore. RockNRolla was his attempt to return to that genre and feel, but (IMO) it felt like a cover band performance of Snatch or Lock Stock. Aside from standout performances from Mark Strong and Toby Kebbell, the movie paled in comparison to Ritchie's previous London crime films. Even the awesome Tom Wilkinson was wasted, coming off like a poor man's Brick Top.

Anyway, I'm only reading snippets of the reviews since I don't want to spoil too much of the movie for myself. But I'm encouraged by what I'm reading. It sounds like Henry, Armie and Alicia have great onscreen chemistry. And it also seems like people feel Henry would make a great Bond somewhere down the line... something I'd love to see, personally.

The EW review is pretty rough.

It always leaves me scratching my head when I see reviews (positive or negative overall) say completely opposite things. Some of them say the leads are fun, charismatic and have great chemistry with one another. Others (like that EW paragraph that barely counts a review) basically say they're all bland and lifeless.

I'm honestly baffled by some of the negative responses this movie is receiving. It's as if they saw something completely different than I did.

It's just great entertainment.

Yeah. I haven't seen it yet, but just from what I've seen in previews, the leads looks like they come off very charismatic and the movie looks fun.

Pretty much, yeah. First reviews came in and most were positive. Then the week continued and the bad ones came in.

I'll prolly theatre hop into it this weekend after seeing Compton. That's the flick I'm truly waiting for.

Yeah, Compton does look really good. I'm still holding out hope for this film though.
