He sounds more like he's trying to do a Robert Vaughn impression, particularly in the last line in the trailer.

I think he sounded like Vaughn or at least in that area.

It's interesting we're getting a couple of fun spy movies this year. Matthew Vaughn briefy commented on it.
Kingsmen, Spy, UNCLE...and then we have the opposite end of the spectrum with Spectre

What does "Spy" refer to?

This looks great! Cavill and Hammer look like they'll make a good duo in this. Looks like a lot of fun and humor, with great action and style. It's good to see Cavill in a less serious role; I remember people saying that because he's usually so serious in interviews, he can't do comedy (an idea I've always found ridiculous).

Im not saying it'll be good but it's happening
I'm going to try and see Kingsman this weekend.

Im debating it. I hear it's really good. But I wasnt a fan of the trailers

Don't forget Mission: Impossible 5. :cwink:

It's a Melissa McCarthy spy film with Jason Statham.

Thanks for reminding me
Yeah that comes out too.

Im gonna guess it'll fit right in the middle, tone wise, with the other spy movies being released.

I hope Napoleon Solo has his communicator pen that he talks into in this movie. It would fit the tone of it to have that little gadget.

Hugh Grant just seems like Hugh Grant, and not particularly like Mr Waverley in the trailer. I hope he has more of a presence. At the moment, the trailer makes it look like it's just the CIA and KGB working together, and not that they're united under UNCLE. I guess this is the origin of UNCLE though.

Good to see McCarthy really branching out. :whatever:

Yeah it kinda sucks.

I think she was really funny in The Heat and I think she for sure has talent. It sucks that she's playing these stupid characters over and over.

I am glad that Statham is doing something a bit different. He's really been letting his career go

I also really hope this works out for Hammer. He's a good actor. Just been really s***y picking roles since The Social Network. Or at least all the roles he picks sound like slam dunks on paper but end up being crappy

I read a really early version and probably Tom Cruise attached to that one?

The tone for that was a bit more serious. Hmmm.

Anyone know what the film's composer, Daniel Pemberton is like?

I really hope he incorporates Jerry Goldsmith's classic theme into the movie. I bet he doesn't though, as many of these big screen remakes completely eschew the famous theme because of licensing rights.
