Man of Steel Presence at Comic Con 2012?

I think if you had moved Superman Returns to the spring or winter of that year or released it anywhere from 2weeks to a month before POTC the box office would have been different. and tilted much better in its favor. It's impressive when a superhero movie with no action makes over $400 million in the box office. They should have given us this trailer as well.

But for me Superman Returns problems were with the film itself, I reckon had they done an origin film it would have gotten a sequel but there was too many problems to continue the series from there.

I'm glad MOS is been made I feel lucky that we have both Superman Returns and a new origin story.

Agreed. Although I would like to see the Returns stuff wrapped up in a book format or something. They left to many lose ends for me.

Same here, I'd even like to see some of the other Superman movie concepts done as a book/comic book just to see what they're like.

I'm pretty sure Nolan announced the casting of Heath Ledger at Comic Con.

Latino Review broke that story and it was officially announced that weekend. Just not at the Con and Nolan wasn't there.

With Snyder helming the movie, I expect him, his wife and a couple of the actors to do the rounds at Comic-Con. It'd be nice if they debuted some footage there or some official stills.

Even an official teaser poster would be nice.

A year away should be enough time to show a poster and character designs plus TDKR.


I know they've tended to release their main trailers in December. So the teaser should be there too.

Considering Russell Crowe tweeted, a couple of days ago, that he was going to do a photo shoot for MOS, that would make a lot of sense. I have a feeling that photo shoot that he went to was for Comic-Con.

To me SR doesnt really count considering what I was personally looking forward to, so in a way this is the first Superman-movie since the Donner/Reeve-days. Which means double the anticipation, again because SR didnt deliver.

If they bring footage, I wouldn't expect to see it end up online (officially).

I don't think some new photos and maybe even an EW cover are out of the question. Just for a point of reference, the Green Lantern movie had the cover to the SDCC-themed EW a year in advance of its release, with additional photos included.

SDCC has become an utterly annoying ridiculous circus. It's definitely not what it used to be.
