One hates to attach a given role to an actor, especially when that actor is a hell of a nice guy working to expand his career beyond the one which made him famous. But when Brandon Routh walks in the room, the fundaments of your brain still scream “holy ****, it’s Superman!” He looks the part right down to his socks, and his easy smile and gentle demeanor effortlessly evoke the Man of Steel. Routh is quite aware of the resemblance, and while you can feel the tension increase slightly when the subject comes up, he looks at his experience in the cape and tights with a lot of pride.
“As much as I’m working to shake it up,” he says, “I certainly don’t want to extinguish or get rid of it. Because it was a great honor, and I would love to be able to return as that character.”

Agreed! It's a known fact that he is/was well liked by the WB execs. So hopefully he at least gets a meeting with whomever is going to direct. I wouldn't think it would be a sit down with Chris, but maybe Jonathan, if in fact he is/will be the director.

Routh, who has temporarily lost his job as Superman, is one of the funnier presences in the film. Christopher Nolan, who’s producing the next Superman film, needs to see this movie and perhaps reconsider Routh for the role. He owns the moments he has onscreen in this film and deserves another chance at Supe. I know, it’s off the subject, but it needs to be said.

If Nolan is "aware" of his presence, one would think that MAYBE they have at least sat down to chat. I mean how else would Nolan know of his presence? Unless he is just assuming that he is aware of him because of SR? I don't know. There's no telling what's going on, but I sure do hope that some discussions will take place.

I wasn't too keen on the superman movie. I didn't like the direction.

But the plane sequence was superb! It's what made me watch the movie in the first place. Especially the music.

I have been noticing that they have been taking an awfully lot of pictures together lately. I know that it's mainly about promoting SP, but I wonder if they have another agenda, a side agenda, in getting people to look at them together and get people talking about the possibility of Lois and Clark? To see what kind of things would be said about seeing the two together? I know that I am probably reaching here, but it just makes me wonder. Plus I have had a MEGA crush on MEW since the movie Sky High. t:

See that's what I mean! It's got people starting to talk about it, which is why it makes sense. I realize that it's mainly people around here, but word of mouth can spread REALLY quickly. You just never know.
