Yes Yes you are definitely reaching, but man do those two look like the perfect Lois and Clark!

Well, I, for one, don't think he's reaching.

The other night I was asking my wife what she would think of MeW as Lois, and after agreeing Mary could work, she ultimately asked why it's Brandon and MeW doing on the press for Scott Pilgrim and not Michael Cera and MeW out there.

Good question, huh?

I mean, we know what Edgar Wright thinks about who should play Superman. Maybe this is a monstrously creative way to get Routh out there...and maybe even MeW for Lois.

It's undeniable that MeW constantly changes in her appearance, so why does she continue to show up with a former Superman looking like she's auditioning for a Lois Lane screentest?

I don't think he's reaching.

Fanboys aren't even the only ones picking up on the visual appeal of those two in the roles.

It could also be that looks sell and they are the two most attractive people in the movie. The entire cast is a delight, but I have many female friends who want to see the movie specifically for Brandon. Many of them the same girls who didn't give a damn about Superman till they saw Bran. Image sells, a big muscular, handsome, charming guy and a hottie promoting the movie is just smart.

Who would that be?

Having an exciting buzz around your film in any way, any how...is GREAT for your film.

Sexy stars? Check. Definitely a plus and will fill seats.

Having the last known Superman in your film as a new Superman film picks up steam? Priceless.

Edgar Wright thinks Brandon IS Superman, and he likes the buzz these Superman whispers create for Pilgrim. Either way, Wright's feeling good.

PS: Anyone else wonder if WB is holding their final Superman casting decision for some time shortly after Pilgrim's release? Wait and see if people flock to a Routh film?

...and yes, I believe the director will most likely be announced first, but you never know. After this drought of information, when it comes...here's hoping we get a flood of news!

Oh, yes, some geek wanting to argue about Brandon's physique. To avoid getting into this discussion I'll just agree with whatever you say.

I can see it. Here`s hoping that Nolan will too...

Please let this happen. Although, from that story, I understand Nolan's problems with casting Routh...especially if this is true and they're going for a "different" Clark Kent than what we've been accustomed to in the cinema. It could be a problem for the general audience...not being able to separate between Returns and the Reboot.

Still, if this story is true, I'm at least glad that Nolan and company have entertained the idea of using Routh again because let's face it...that dude is Superman.

I wonder, since all the rumors seem to revolve around Goyer and Jonah, that they're trying to keep this project in house, so to speak between the three guys...even if either guy really haven't shown that they could direct something of this scale.

The problem is, I haven't heard a single suggestion from anyone about who should direct this film...and when I say that, I mean someone would we think has a legit shot at it and who wants to direct it...not our "dream director."

Off the top of my head, I just can't think of anyone to do this project...that's had some experience of doing a project on this scale.

I think it could be true. I asked where the info came from and they said a guy from former Superman-v site with Rodney's movieblog sources confirming. Hopefully it holds up, you never know with the internet.

I've got a grin from ear to ear. This is great news. Moving away from bumbling Clark can give Brandon a chance to play it more confident and serious, in a similar vein as Agent Shaw.

http://www.**************.com is reporting same thing. Jonathan or Jonah will not be directing.

Guess what? That doesn't belong in this thread.

The act is already getting a little old...

I have been noticing that they have been taking an awfully lot of pictures together lately. I know that it's mainly about promoting SP, but I wonder if they have another agenda, a side agenda, in getting people to look at them together and get people talking about the possibility of Lois and Clark? To see what kind of things would be said about seeing the two together? I know that I am probably reaching here, but it just makes me wonder. Plus I have had a MEGA crush on MEW since the movie Sky High. :woot:
Me too.

I hope you're right!

You know how WB could prevent this sort of thing from happening over and over again? They could just TELL. US. SOMETHING.

Even just a little crumb.

Just the TITLE! ("Man of Steel" is merely speculation resulting from TDK).

...anything.

PLEASE.

I support #bringrouthback and i enjoy him in Superman Returns,he made a awesome Clark Kent, but the style of the film(high incorporatedthe 79 movie) dont give him space to trynew things. This audiction goves the opportunity to show he evolution as a actor and put his stuff on the character.I hope for the best about this and he look more than never as Superman!

IT brings a smile to this Superfan's face knowing that Routh will at least be officially looked at. Though I've made claims for John Hamm as the new MOS, nothing would please me more than seeing Routh return. He is my generation's Superman, and he should damn well continue as such.

Also, it's important to note that not a SINGLE actor looks better for the role than he. Routh is, physically, perfect for it.

I'm glad to see him getting a screentest. Must be ever so slightly irritating for Routh though, having to screentest for a role he's already played ............................ but I guess that's how it goes when everything behind the scenes changes!
