I've been reading these forums for a while, and I'm just real curious on how some of you guys (mostly the fanboys, these guys interest me) would do the "DC Cinematic Universe". First, I'll give some of my ideas a go, then I want to see how some of you guys here would do it. I'm just very interested, that's all.

So what I can see them doing is releasing 2-3 movies a year (I can't imagine any more than that considering they are owned by..well..Warner Bros. lol)

2016 - Worlds Finest / Batman vs Superman

At the end of the movie, there is a voice over of Wonder Woman giving some kind of dialouge as it shows clips of The Flash, Green Lantern, and more all doing some stuff (like The Flash running on water)

2017 - Justice League

The formation of the Justice League. At the end of the movie, Superman goes to the government to get Justice League a government approved team. The Flash. Superman. Batman. Wonder Woman. Green Lantern. Cyborg. Aquaman. Martian Manhunter. Maybe a few lesser roles/cameos from Hawkman, Lobo, ect? Batman would be very reluctant and cautious to join. This would probably give Affleck the most complex part of the script. I'd probably put Apokolips or Darkseid as the main baddy. Of course, there would also be the unavoidable cameos of Lois Lane and Alfred. The first half of the movie consist of Batman and Superman calling out to the other heroes. Flash will probably also gain his powers in this film.

Late 2017 - King of Atlantis

Pretty simple really. A film focused on Aquaman after the events of the Justice League and a more in-depth look at Atlantis.

2018 - Wonder Woman / AMAZON

I'd probably have this based off of that animated film that came out not too long ago, it was pretty good. But basicly it would be Wonder Woman adjusting to her new home (Earth) after the events of the Justice League. It would probably start off with a flashback of how Wonder Woman got here. No, she would not be an ancestor to the Kryptonians (that sounds kinda silly to me, and weird to be honest lol). Main villain would most likely be Ares.

2018 - THE BATMAN

The summer blockbuster for this year. Won't be another origin story at all. Takes place after the Justice League film of course, with Batman still being a little paranoid about all the recent chaos on the Earth as of now. Gives a more complex, in-depth look into the physce of Batman / Bruce Wayne. I can imagine Hugo Strange being the main villain and trying to mentally break down Batman. Could give for some intense and complex backstory.

2019 - FLASH

Flash's story after the Justice League. Will have a heavy focus on his relationship with Wally West. The main antagonist would probably be Prof. Zoom. Unlike an origin story, this would actually be Barry's final adventure and end with Barry dying and the mantle of The Flash getting passed on to Wally West.

2019 - Green Lantern

The Green Lantern in the Justice League would probably be Jon Stewart, so this would introduce Hal Jordan, the first human Green Lantern. Meaning that the film would most likely rarely take place on Earth or in any major city.

2019 - Man of Steel: DOOMSDAY

Taken inspiration from the Death of Superman. Except, Doomsday doesn't really "die", but Superman does. Film would most consist of Superman and Doomsdays fight, also the events leading up to Superman's death, and end with Superman's death/funeral. At the end of the movie, several Justice League members are seen carrying Superman's coffin and burying him. Film ends with a close-up of Batman's face(and dialouge by Batman), teasing a Justice League sequel.

2020 - ARROW

Honestly, I think the current CW's ARROW is the best (live action) incarnation of Oliver Queen / Green Arrow that we have ever seen, and I'd love for him to cross over into the DCCU. This movie will also feature cameos from The Joker and The Riddler. This film takes place before (and during the 3rd act, during) the events of MOS: Doomsday. There's a post-credits scene with Green Arrow watching Superman's funeral from afar, once again hyping the Justice League sequel. Main villains are Deathstroke and possibly Brick.

2020 - Justice League 2

Is an almost direct sequel to MOS Doomsday and focuses on the Justice League coping with the death of Superman (and Barry Allen) and the constant question of how long the team can hold together. The main villain will be Doomsday as he tries to come back for another reign of tyranny. Green Arrow is a widely important character in the film and by the end of the film he is accepted into the Justice League by a landslide vote. Batman will have a (SLIGHTLY, JUST SLIGHTLY) less important role, acting more as a back-up/supplyment for the Justice League. Hal Jordan also replaces Jon Stewart in the Justice League. Wally West is also a focused part on the movie, spending most of the movie like Green Arrow, AKA proving his way into the Justice League. I can imagine a heroic scene where Wally stands up to a pack of Doomsdays minions. He, of course, gets inducted into the League by the end of the movie. Wonder Woman is built as the new "leader" of the Justice League, and there is a huge scene where she gets into fistacuffs with Doomsday. In the end, the Justice League defeats Doomsday. Martian Manhunter also has to adjust to some of the really negative aspects of Earth and fitting in. The end of the film shows Superman in the after-life/astrial plane and returning to his body, ending on a cliffhanger.

Well, that's just the basic premise of how I would do mine. Of course, after that, there'd be a 4th Man of Steel film, Wonder Woman 2, Flash 2, Aquaman 2, Batman 2, CYBORG, ect. and also some other movies such as Suicide Squad, SHAZAM! Teen Titans, and more.

There's only been what 2 live action Green Arrows?

Not saying anything against Arrow but it's like comparing live action Two-Faces.

Honestly, here's what I would have done.

2013: Man of Steel
2014: Flash
2014: Wonder Woman
2015: Green Lantern Reboot/Sequel
2015: Superman/Batman
2016: Justice League (Introduce Martian Manhunter)

Is it lazy and copying off Marvel? Yea but it's not a bad way to go and do it.

What other live green arrow was there?

Wonder Woman cameo in the next film stopped me from reading this.

2020: Batman/Superman 2

2021: Flash solo movie featuring Batman

2022: Justice League meets Space Jam

2025: Man Of Steel Sequel featuring Batman

Not enough Batman.

I have no ****in clue what is going on with BvS. But lets say it isn't secretly a Justice League film (as the casting decisions seem to imply). I want the following:

2013:
Man of Steel
2016:
Batman/Superman
2017:
[Spring/Summer] Wonder Woman
[Fall/Winter] The Flash
2018:
[Spring/Summer] Man of Tomorrow
[Fall/Winter] Green Lantern (reboot of course)
2019:
[Spring/Summer] Justice League
2020:
[Spring/Summer] Batman and Robin (reboot of course)
[Fall/Winter] Wonder Woman 2
2021:
The Flash 2
Green Lantern 2
2022:
Justice League 2
2023:
Batman and Robin 2
Aquaman
2024:
Wonder Woman 3
Superman: Doomsday
2025:
Justice League 3
2026:
Batman and Robin 3
Green Lantern 3

But who am I kidding. lol

Good list I'd like to add Superman vs King Kong vs Godzilla vs Mole Man.

I take it we must keep Man of Steel and Batman Vs Superman intact? Also keep it somewhat similar to what WB may do?

Man of Steel
May 2016- Batman Vs Superman
November 2016- Wonder Woman (Pre-production would begin while BVS is filming)
July 2017- The Flash (cameo from Hal Jordan, maybe imply he's already a Lantern)
July 2018- Justice League

That's all I'd expect. Maybe throw in a Batman film.

Superman/BatmanLex is revealed to have connections and knowledge to other heroes and villains. Darkseid is teased the same way Lex was in Man of Steel.

Justice League: Brainiac unites the League against him, is betrayed and taken over by Luthor and his Legion of Doom allies (he's a lieutenant to an alliance of Vandal Savage, Ares, Circe, and Ra's Al Ghul.)

Wonder Woman: Circe recruits the Cheetah to fight on her and Ares behalf. Ares is vanquished and imprisoned in Tartarus, while Circe and Cheetah turn on one another.

Flash: Stable time loop is established between Professor Zoom and Flash, Kid Flash is introduced.

Batman: Legacy: Batman and Nightwing confront Ra's Al Ghul and Clayface. With the help of street kid Jason Todd, his cyber ally Redbird, and some surreptitious and mysterious aid from Talia, Ra's organization is crushed. Jason Todd becomes second Robin.

Justice League vs Legion of Doom: The Legion of Doom steals Batman's anti-Justice League plans; most of them are non-lethal, so they try and modify them. However, the only one that is modified enough to almost work is Superman's, since Luthor desires his death but also wanted to League to turn on itself and damage the Legion enough he can pull off a coup with Bane, Talia, Cheetah, and otherworldly ally Sinestro. The League is shaken, Batman voluntarily withdraws, and Luthor now commands the Secret Society.

Man of Steel 2: Luthor unleashes Parasite and Bizarro on Superman in a smear campaign. He also uses a brainwashed Kara-El as a bodyguard and runs for President. Superman, with some help from a brief Bruce Wayne cameo and his and Lois's investigation, unmasks Luthor and frees Kara, as well as a younger clone boy (Superboy). Luthor vows vengeance.

Trinity: Wonder Woman now knows exactly who Darkseid is and he's coming. The three heroes begin trying to hunt down the Secret Society. Diana is contacted by Ares shade when she finds out that Cheetah rejected his offer of patronage. Her personal climax ends with him promising her she'll consider his offer when Darkseid comes. Superman begins to show a bit of an obsession with finding Luthor, and his anger and wrath is his man storyline. Batman, meanwhile, acts as a mentor and trainer to Supergirl alongside Jason Todd. The two kids hit it off. His father-like aspect is played to the hilt, and contrasted with Superman and Wonder Woman's trust issues with him.
While Cheetah finds she doesn't actually like the Secret Society that much and takes Wonder Woman's mercy, Luthor completely rejects any offer of clemency in the face of Darkseid's arrival, even though he knows about how terrifying the Lord Of Apokilips is from Sinestro. He spends most of the movie on the run, and in order to escape, wounds Supergirl with a kryptonite warhead and hires a distraction: The Joker. The Joker goes on a rampage, and ends up beating a captive Jason Todd almost to death before putting him in a plane of kids with a bomb headed for the UN while the main Trinity is distracted trying to stop him. Todd successfully shoves the bomb out of the plane, but he's bound to it. The wounded Supergirl tries to rescue him, but the bomb goes off before she can clear him of the blast. She has to deliver him to Batman, copying the famous pose from both their deaths. The film ends with Cheetah's defection to Themiscyra, Luthor returning to hiding, and Joker's presumed death.

Green Lantern: Sinestro's whole reason for allying with the Legion of Doom is so his forces can use Earth as a rallying point against Darkseid's forces. He leads an invasion of Sector 2814, attempting to seize Earth. Green Lantern recruits the other Green Lanterns from Earth to fight back, and they successfully turn back the tide of the Sinestro Corps. Unfortunately, Sinestro's attempt to fight back against Darkseid allows Darkseid to pull his planet throu a boom tube and into Sector 2814. He immediately heads for Earth.

Justice League: World at War: Basically a combination of Our World's at War with Final Crisis and Death of Superman. The finale of the first series of films. All the heroes exit the film in some epic but tragic manner; Flash runs to the Speed Force, Green Lantern allows Paralax to possess him to defeat the Parademons, as Wonder Woman accepts Ares patronage to fight the Female Furies, Aquaman is "blown up," Batman shoots Darkseid before getting the Omega Sanction, and Superman fights Doomsday after dipping himself in the sun for a power boost.

Now the sequel series can change up actors who want out or have gotten too old.

That's a great list. However I believe that they want to do a JL movie that may draw inspiration from Kingdom Come. So if I were doing it, I would do that somewhere.

2016: Batman vs. Superman
Lex Luthor and Metallo would be the villains. Feature cameos from The Flash, Green Lantern and Aquaman, maybe more. Tease Darkseid for the next movie.

2017: Justice League
Darkseid would be the villain. Lineup would be Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern (John Stewart), The Flash (Barry Allen), Martian Manhunter, and Aquaman. Maybe throw Cyborg in there as well.

2018: The Flash
Some flashbacks to Barry Allen's accident, but otherwise, this wouldn't be an origin movie. Villains should be Captain Cold and Mirror Master. Save Reverse-Flash for the sequel. Cold would then be recruited by Lex Luthor for his Legion of Doom. Plus, Cyborg can be introduced here if he isn't in the first JL.

2018: The Green Lantern Corps
John Stewart, Hal Jordan, and other Lanterns team up to combat the Manhunters. End with Sinestro being expelled from the Corps for embracing the power of fear, and he comes to Earth. There, he is also recruited for the Legion of Doom.

2019: Wonder Woman
Diana's origin will go into more detail here, as she faces Ares, the God of War. This would be heavily inspired by the 2009 animated Wonder Woman film. Cheetah would be a secondary villain she fights before the main conflict, and she would also join the Legion of Doom.

2019: The Batman
Batman takes on the mob boss Black Mask, who hires assassins Deadshot and Deathstroke to take out not only the Caped Crusader, but Bruce Wayne. Nightwing would feature in a supporting role, while Deathstroke would be recruited by Luthor for his Legion.

2020: Man of Steel: Brainiac
Brainiac begins his invasion of Earth. Other Justice League members are busy in their respective movies, so it's up to Superman to once again save the day. Supergirl would make her debut here. Movie ends with Luthor unveiling his latest creation, Doomsday.

2020: Aquaman
Some flashbacks to Arthur's origin, but again, mostly not an origin film. Aquaman would battle villains such as King Shark and Black Manta, the latter being added to Luthor's Legion.

2021: Justice League: Injustice for All
Same lineup from the original movie, plus Hawkgirl and Cyborg. Hal Jordan also replaces John Stewart. Lex Luthor obtains Batman's plans to immobilize the Justice League if any members turned rogue. Luthor, meanwhile, unveils his own League: Sinestro, Deathstroke, Metallo, Cheetah, Black Manta, Captain Cold, and Doomsday. During the epic climax, Superman "dies" at the hands of Doomsday. This, plus the breach of mistrust created by Batman, causes the Justice League to disband.

2022: Batman: Son of the Knight (working title, obviously)
Batman discovers that he has a son named Damian, who was conceived during an affair between Bruce Wayne and Talia al Ghul before the former became Batman. The duo, along with Batgirl, face off against villains Man-Bat and Mr. Freeze, while The Joker makes a cameo at the end.

2022: The Flash/Green Lantern
Longtime friends Barry Allen and Hal Jordan team up once more to take on Gorilla Grodd, a telepathic gorilla who attempts to turn every being on the Earth into an ape. Reverse-Flash cameos at the end, setting up a solo Flash sequel.

2023: Wonder Woman II
Diana returns to Themiscyra in her grieving for the death of Superman. However, she receives word from Hawkgirl that she is needed back in Washington DC. This movie would be heavily inspired by the Justice League episode "Fury", which follows a rogue Amazonian named Aresia attempting to wipe out the Earth's male population.

2023: The Green Arrow
Despite this universe likely being separate from Arrow's, I don't want to go into Oliver's origins in his own movie. Instead, he would be a little older and seasoned. Main villain would be the archer known as Merlyn.

2024: The Flash: Reversal
Barry Allen faces his most personal enemy yet in the form of Eobard Thawne, aka the Reverse-Flash. In short, Iris West would be killed, Barry ends up killing Thawne, and retires as The Flash. Nephew Wally West takes over the mantle.

2024: Shazam
An origin story, with Billy Batson becoming the hero known as Shazam. Villain would be Black Adam.

2025: Green Lantern: Sinestro Corps War
Following his defeat at the hands of the Justice League, Sinestro assembles his own army to take on the Green Lantern Corps. John Stewart and Hal Jordan must lead their forces in an epic galactic showdown.

2025: Hawkman
Hawkgirl's background is explored here, but the protagonist would be Carter Hall, aka Hawkman. Explore his Egyptian background and more of Thanagar.

2026: Justice League: Gods Among Us
Brainiac returns in full force, prompting Batman and Wonder Woman to reform the Justice League. The new lineup consists of Batman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern John Stewart, Wally West Flash, Hawkgirl, Green Arrow, Shazam, and Hawkman. Cyborg declined. The resurrection of Superman is also dealt with here. And with Brainiac finding a new body within Lex Luthor, the united League must stand as Earth's Final Defense.

2027: Man of Steel: Resurgence
The world reacts to the revival of Superman. In this sequel, he fights Bizarro, genetically engineered by Amanda Waller's Project Cadmus (who was also behind Doomsday's creation). Movie ends with a tease of Darkseid's return.

2027: Batman: The Killing Joke
The Joker establishes his title as Batman's most personal villain. He paralyzes Barbara Gordon, aka Batgirl, and kills Alfred. He then experiments upon Damian Wayne. The movie is basically a mixture of The Killing Joke and Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker. The film ends with the iconic conclusion from the former, but includes Grant Morrison's theory: Batman kills The Joker.

2028: The Flash: Resurrection
While Wally West has been the Flash, Barry Allen makes his triumphant return here. The movie deals with the Speed Force in detail, while Barry adjusts to returning to his normal life.

2028: Wonder Woman III
Diana faces off against Hades himself, who proves to be her most personal antagonist yet.

2029: Justice League Dark
An assembly of DC's darker heroes, such as Constantine, Zatanna, and Deadman.

2029: Green Lantern: Rebirth
The Green Lantern Corps battles the Red Lantern Corps in another epic showdown.

2030/2031: Justice League: Apokolips
Darkseid returns in full force, bringing the planet closer to its destruction than ever before. Every single DC hero introduced thus far must take part in battling Darkseid's army, from the Justice League and JL Dark to the Teen Titans, various Green Lanterns, and more. A truly epic conclusion to the DC Cinematic Universe.

Wow, this would be such an epic ending for a DC cinematic universe.

I can promise you, with God as much witness, Affleck will not say on for Batman till 2030. 14? He isn't Hugh Jackman.

Paul kudos to you for writing all that out but I'll be more than happy if we get 25% of that.

I hate you for making this list so ****ing long Paul.

2016: Batman vs. Superman
Lex Luthor and Metallo would be the villains. Feature cameos from The Flash, Green Lantern and Aquaman, maybe more. Tease Darkseid for the next movie.

Don't like the idea of GL, Flash, Darkseid, and Aquaman involved.

2017: Justice League
Darkseid would be the villain. Lineup would be Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern (John Stewart), The Flash (Barry Allen), Martian Manhunter, and Aquaman. Maybe throw Cyborg in there as well.

Don't like the idea of Darkseid being the villain. Too big. Avengers didn't start off with Thanos. Should be Brainiac or White Martian.

Meh, I'm ok with it.

I'm ok with it.

Ok with it.

Sounds too much like an Arkham Origins wannabe. I think it's clear the next villain for the first Batman film should be Riddler.

I think if something is invading Earth, other JL members would take time out of their busy schedule to help. Don't mind Supergirl but hate Luthor creating Doomsday.

2020: Aquaman
Some flashbacks to Arthur's origin, but again, mostly not an origin film. Aquaman would battle villains such as King Shark and Black Manta, the latter being added to Luthor's Legion.

Ok.

Now Paul, I've been writing my sequel to my JL film. One idea I had was Luthor stealing Batman's plans but there is a problem with that. Why would Luthor steal from Batman? It doesn't make sense. In Tower of Babel, it made sense for Ra's because Ra's knows Batman. Even in the Doom, Savage's motive for stealing Batman's plans weren't really talked about at all or there. Having Luthor steal Batman's plans is unlike Luthor. He's the smartest man alive and he's stealing plans from others. He would make his own plans. He would study them all.

This sounds too much like the Son of Batman film.

Would prefer a Grodd/Flash film with them. We don't really need Hal.

Ok.

2023: The Green Arrow
Despite this universe likely being separate from Arrow's, I don't want to go into Oliver's origins in his own movie. Instead, he would be a little older and seasoned. Main villain would be the archer known as Merlyn.

Meh.

I don't think Barry would kill. Also dislike Iris being kill and Barry passing the mantle. It's like you combined TDK & TDKR.

2024: Shazam
An origin story, with Billy Batson becoming the hero known as Shazam. Villain would be Black Adam.

Ok.

2025: Green Lantern: Sinestro Corps War
Following his defeat at the hands of the Justice League, Sinestro assembles his own army to take on the Green Lantern Corps. John Stewart and Hal Jordan must lead their forces in an epic galactic showdown.

Ok.

2025: Hawkman
Hawkgirl's background is explored here, but the protagonist would be Carter Hall, aka Hawkman. Explore his Egyptian background and more of Thanagar.

I can't see Hawkman getting a film honestly.

NO!!!!!!!!!! NO LEXANIAC ********!!!!

No Parasite?

2027: Batman: The Killing Joke
The Joker establishes his title as Batman's most personal villain. He paralyzes Barbara Gordon, aka Batgirl, and kills Alfred. He then experiments upon Damian Wayne. The movie is basically a mixture of The Killing Joke and Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker. The film ends with the iconic conclusion from the former, but includes Grant Morrison's theory: Batman kills The Joker.

No just no. I'm all for paralyzing Barbara but why did Joker do that? To **** with Gordon. make him go insane. The Joker doesn't kill somebody just because. He needs a reason in a way. I dislike him killing Alfred a lot. No just no. Also dislike Tim Draking Damain. But what I really dislike is Batman killing Joker. That's worse than Superman killing Zod. I would never support anything WB or Batman related if they did a film where Joker does all that and Batman kills him. Sorry but incredibly bad idea.

2028: The Flash: Resurrection
While Wally West has been the Flash, Barry Allen makes his triumphant return here. The movie deals with the Speed Force in detail, while Barry adjusts to returning to his normal life.

Barry makes his return after one Flash film? Uhh.

2028: Wonder Woman III
Diana faces off against Hades himself, who proves to be her most personal antagonist yet.

Ok.

2029: Justice League Dark
An assembly of DC's darker heroes, such as Constantine, Zatanna, and Deadman.

Del Toro ain't waiting this long.

2029: Green Lantern: Rebirth
The Green Lantern Corps battles the Red Lantern Corps in another epic showdown.

Ok.

Ok.

I give it a 6.5/10

2013 - Man of Steel
2016 - Trinity (May) and Justice League (December) shoot back-to-back
2017 - Batman reboot and Wonder Woman solo movie
2018 - Green Lantern reboot and Flash solo movie
2019 - Man of Steel sequel and Justice League sequel

2013: Man of Steel
2014: Flash
2014: Wonder Woman
2015: Green Lantern Reboot/Sequel
2015: Superman/Batman
2016: Justice League (Introduce Martian Manhunter)

That seems like a perfect plan really. It's odd how a smaller studio like Marvel is able to have so many different movies in production at the same time yet WB, one of the largest studios in the world, can only make one comic book movie at a time. I realise WB makes a lot of other movies also but you would think comic book movies would be something of a priority considering how financially dominant they are. I remember reading a few years ago after Harry Potter ended that WB planned to make DC movies their new cash cow but that hasn't really happened. Between Man of Steel and BvS Marvel will have released 5 movies in the time it took WB to release one. It's also a shame WB doesn't trust their comic book movies to do well if they don't have Superman or Batman in the title which is why Wonder Woman is being introduced in BvS rather than her own movie. I'm worried if WB doesn't start to take risks then we will just end up in an endless cycle of failures and reboots.

^The last time they trusted a big-budget unproven property (Green Lantern) they lost a ton of money. If they do make big-budget movies for other characters, it'll be after they introduce them in Justice League, not before. Just look at how much of a boost Iron Man got after Avengers (nearly double that of IM2). There's no reason for them not to.

Anyways, here's my list, including the 'low-budget' movies that Goyer talked about.

-------------------------------------PHASE 1----------------------------------

2013
"Man of Steel" - Zack Snyder

2016
"World's Finest" - Zack Snyder
"Sandman" - Jonathan Glazer (Under the Skin)
"Team 7" - Pete Travis (Dredd)

2017
"Justice League" - Zack Snyder
"Heaven Sent" - Guillermo Del Toro
"Deathstroke" - Jose Padhila (Elite Squad / Robocop)

-------------------------------------PHASE 2----------------------------------

2018
"Superman: The Man of Tomorrow" - Brad Bird (The Incredibles / Tomorrowland)
"Wonder Woman" - Rupert Wyatt (Rise of the Planet of the Apes)
"Booster Gold" - Joe Cornish (Attack the Block)

2019
"Batman: The Caped Crusader" - David Fincher
"The Flash" - Phil Lord & Chris Miller (21 Jump Steet / Lego Movie)
"Suicide Squad" - Pete Travis (Dredd)

2020
"Aquaman: The King of Atlantis" - Duncan Jones (Moon / Warcraft)
"Green Lantern Corps" - Neil Blomkamp (District 9 / Elysium)
"The Question" - Rian Johnson (Looper)

2021
"Justice League: Tower of Babel" - Zack Snyder
etc etc

I find it hard to believe that the failure of Green Lantern wasn't largely influenced by the quality of the film, or lack thereof. A good trailer or review will make the general audience more likely to see a film based on a property they know nothing about. If Green Lantern had actually been a good movie, it would have likely done pretty well at the box office, especially with the fans who are more likely to see it more than once.

Right. But my point is that WB can't risk another director effing things up like Campbell did. Not now.

Snyder proved himself to WB with Man of Steel. Even though critical reception was mixed, the movie did not bomb. He was able to transform Superman into a badass that got younger generations into the theatre. They'll trust him to do the same with all the unproven characters.
