Marvel: New Spidey Game & Ultimate Alliance (Sequel announced.)

I really hope the new Spidey game is 616 and has a feel similar to PS1 Spider-Man. Tons of cheats, What If Mode, cameos from other heroes. And goofball Venom!

Spider-man: Origins.

It could have you starting out as Spider-man, then fighting all the villains for the first time, like in the comics. And they could use Ditko's art style, ala USM.

Iron Stark, I heard that Sega's contract with Marvel states that Iron Man, Hulk, Thor, and Captain America could be used in team up games like Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2.

Hopefully Activision will learn from their many past mistakes with the Spider-Man games( Short story, Crappy swinging ala Ultimate Spider-Man, crappy story like in Spider-Man 3, and lets get some good graphics!) and make a good 616 Spidey game.

I must be the only one who was unimpressed by Ultimate Alliance. It was such a boringly repetitive game. Every level. Walk, punch, walk, punch, switch character, use special attack that is exactly the same as everyone elses' only with minor visual tweaks.

I hope this time there is a player vs player mode like in XML, and I would love less confined environments, like a cityscape level would be awesome.

Agreed. It's not that I didn't think underwater was a good idea. But the devs made it out to sound like it was going to be groundbreaking in underwater action....it felt like Mario.3

I'm hoping for more variations in the moves, and that they keep, but spice up the individual character missions....know which ones i'm talking about??

I'd like some of the old roster, but there are so many characters I would have loved to have.

Punisher, Vision, Pym, ...and a few other NPC we saw in the first one.

If some guys can take their time on Spider-Man game and lovingly craft something incredible, we might have somewhere to go with that... otherwise. Meh.

MUA2 can't help but be awesome... at least as good as the first.

The only thing I loved about UA were the cinematic cut scenes, it really makes you wonder why the hell the live action movies suck so bad.

For the next Spider-Man game I also want the indoor levels to return. I really liked the levels in the first Spider-Man game for the PS1 and the Movie game, where you had to sneak through the stages undetected. Trying to take guards out without them noticing you and hacking security codes from computers.

I'd definitely enjoy that. It seems ever since SM2 all these developers can think of is free roam for the superhero games. Games like Punisher,MUA, and PS1 Spider-Man did it best.

Yea, but for a character like Spider-Man, the free roam is just a HUGE part of it. I wouldnt want a full Spider-Man game to go back to anything else.
