Marvel November Solicitations

I didn't think he was flat, but I'm sure others might have thought so. His story with Threnody, Sinister, Maddy Prior, as well as his 'relationship' with Jean, Scott, and Cable are what made me love his book.

I actually hope he reunites with Scott to see just where his 'father' has changed since he has been gone.

There is much of the 90's I don't miss, in fact the nineties as a whole are why I quit reading comics for a long time, but X-Man was one of the characters I loved from that era, since Age of Apocolypse down to his last issue, so I cannot wait to see him again and I really hope he becomes a major player in the universe again.

He still seems like Young Cable to me. Deadpool may be hot enough to support a few titles and spin-off's right now but I don't think Cable is anymore.

I suppose everyone is obligated to their awkward X-Person that they like for some reason. Unfortunately I was impressionable when I bought the animated pilot PRYDE OF THE X-MEN on VHS so for some reason I always have a soft spot for Dazzler. Now she was tacky for the 70's.

X-Man had to have a fan somewhere. Maybe if he had a new name...X-Man? That's like if I invented a new hero for the Avengers called...."Avenger". And he was just a dimensional flung version of, oh, let's say Jarvis. That'd either be beyond stupid or awesome, depending on your taste.

Hey now, it wasn't all that bad. There was some really good stuff under all that pile of garbage

Some.

I was just thinking the same thing the other day. Ultimate Avengers was great, and the new USM was surprisingly good too (I think the art may grow on me).

For the last two years, the Ultimate universe has been treading water (and that's putting it kindly), but now it actually feels fun again.

That ship's sailed for me. I am happy enough with the books I read that I don't need to offer more chances to a line I've not missed one whit.

That Avengers uniform was the bomb (read: garbage)

And wait, did I read right? X-Man is back?

Yes. Everything old is new again! 2009 is the same as 1995, right?

Hey, don't knock that Avengers period. Yes, the "team jackets" were a bit stupid, but there were some solid stories in there. And no, I'm not biased because they centered on the Black Knight. :o

You and Jay Fearber (writer of DYNAMO 5) are the only two people who like that era of Avengers. ;)

I like Black Knight and Proctor is fun to make fun of (the pettiest villain of all time, whacking counterparts of his ex across the multiverse), but if any era of Avengers screams, "Detroit Era", it is some of those years before Onslaught and Heroes Reborn. I mean, even the Detroit Era JLA had Aquaman. :p

Cap until very recently was usually less popular than Iron Man and Thor. Especially in the 90's.
