I've already explained it a dozen times already! the current final candidates are the BEST fits for the role. Sony/Marvel auditioned 1,500 kids for the role and these were the best fits for the role, hence the FINAL shortlist.

How many times to I have to tell people that they didn't audition that many actors. I believe 100 is the maximum.
100 actors were called to audition and many of the young talents of the last years weren't among these 100.

It's possible but unlikely that Marvel will carry on looking beyond the final six if they weren't completely satisfied.

Potentially. However from what it sounds like, Asa's reported behavior is a bit more extreme/egotistical than Plummer's tweets. Plummer's only real misstep there was his confirmation on the THR article being true. In comparison, Asa's apparently saying that he's got the role in the bag. Either he's telling the truth and is pretty horrible at keeping a secret or he's been misinformed and is letting it get to his head.



Indeed. Talion and I think Marvel wants Tom; he seems more likely to be in line with what Kevin Feige has said he wants for Spidey, plus he's more of an unknown which is another thing Marvel loves in their castings.

Logging in basically to confirm this. What C Prometheus and me think is based on Deadline's latest report from yesterday, when Mike Fleming Jr. claimed that Tom and Asa are the frontrunners, while Charlie Rowe and Matt Lintz also left strong impressions with them. Deadline usualy has a way of getting this kind of info right out of the horse's mouth, so while I wouldn't say that Charlie Plummer and Judah Lewis are mostly out of the Spider-Man final race, I'd say that when Deadline give us what it looks like insider information, we should at the very listen pay attention carefully.
