Potentially. However from what it sounds like, Asa's reported behavior is a bit more extreme/egotistical than Plummer's tweets. Plummer's only real misstep there was his confirmation on the THR article being true. In comparison, Asa's apparently saying that he's got the role in the bag. Either he's telling the truth and is pretty horrible at keeping a secret or he's been misinformed and is letting it get to his head.
