Show me a recent photo of him harryoscop since you're the expert. Show me he's not a freckled ginger baby face that looks 13. Dying to see his drastic appearance changes.

I'm not about to boycott a Spider-man movie. But if Lintz or Asa get cast, I will lose a lot of hype and revert to "cautiously optimistic". For me, Assa is a big risk comedically and Lintz is just too freaking young.

You said before that you were fine with a teenage MJ who wasn't yet an adult but was around 16 or 17, because you were that age and you were comfortable finding girls of the same age hot. But how would you feel now about having an MJ who is only about 13 or 14? Aren't the actresses going to be even too young for you now?

Ironic how there's no full body shots, one is in the dark and one is half of his frame. :whatever:

He looks 12 max, that's if he doesn't shave the 4-6 facial hairs he has.

He still looks 12-13 years old to me there. No way he'll get the role, he looks nothing like Peter Parker to me.

Only seven more names to go. :cwink::oldrazz:
theinfernoman:

Here's one more actor. Now I'm halfway to 12 :yay:

I claim that Daniel Huttlestone would have deserved to be among the final six. He's done a couple of big films and he's got some acting chops, that's for sure.

But isn't this young boy a little too small and girly for Peter Parker?
Well, all I can say is that Judah Lewis actually was a part of the list, and when you look at this pic, everything that speaks against Huttlestone has suddenly lost its meaning.

Potentially. However from what it sounds like, Asa's reported behavior is a bit more extreme/egotistical than Plummer's tweets. Plummer's only real misstep there was his confirmation on the THR article being true. In comparison, Asa's apparently saying that he's got the role in the bag. Either he's telling the truth and is pretty horrible at keeping a secret or he's been misinformed and is letting it get to his head.

Indeed. Talion and I think Marvel wants Tom; he seems more likely to be in line with what Kevin Feige has said he wants for Spidey, plus he's more of an unknown which is another thing Marvel loves in their castings.

very interesting.

yeah, someone like Tom or Charlie Rowe do seem to fit with Marvel's vision.

not only that, but when you put either of them up against the rest of the leading men in the MCU, Tom and Charlie seem to fit better.

For the most part, the leading men in the MCU do have a more "traditional" look. iow.....they're good looking in their own ways.

It may sound shallow, but I wouldn't classify Asa as that good looking. certainly not "leading man" good looking. He has more of an "indie film" look vs summer blockbuster look, if that makes sense.

again, it may sound shallow, but it's Hollywood, looks are important.

It's gonna be one of Butterfield, Holland or Rowe

And that makes me feel so happy

Strange that they didn't consider Daniel Huttlestone for that version. Is he seen too much as the musical boy?

Similar to how Batman Begins used some horror elements? :yay:
Thats the reason that I didn't recommend BB to my parents .
Some parts of it felt like a horror film.

Why are there over a 100 people on the board right now?
Is everyone waiting for news to drop or something?

While we're on the subject of actors who should have been considered but weren't (or were rejected before we heard about it), how about

Colin Ford

Elliot Speller-Gillott (from the UK sitcom "Uncle")
PvFXP1L.jpg

or Josh Wiggins (got the "next Leonardo DiCaprio" tag at last year's Sundance)

Good thing that Feige said he'll be 15-16! ;) Shoot, he JUST missed it. Maybe next lifetime, when they write a ginger Spider-Man into the comics! :o

Matt Lintz won't get the role because I think he's a horrible fit :o

Nope.
Not even close.

Colin!

Is it true that Plummer is out?
Are you angry because of that?

I mean, he was your number one fav and you promised to always support him. You were so certain that he would get the role.

If Plummer and also Judah are out, that only strenghten my view on the matter. They. Did. Not. Belong. In. The. Finals.

Next person out will be Lintz. Mark my words.

The fact that they were even on the list in the first place is a joke.

If Plummer, Lewis and Lintz are eliminated, Sony can automatically put them in a Hanson biopic. At least Marvel would be broadening their horizons by doing the casting for a non-comic book film. :o

Good thing Feige said he'll be 15-16 ;) Matt will be 15 next year, perfect age. :D

Matt isn't even my favorite but I'm still defending because you guys are coming off as too agist.

Lmfao! :lmao:

Deuces! As in see you never as Peter Parker. :hehe:

I'm disappointed in you harryoscop for wanting this kid as Peter. Then again I'm not surprised since you have no consistency whatsoever, especially with your fan casting. :whatever:
He' has the guts to claim that talents like Gamble, Hedges and Goyo don't suit the role, then he goes "all in" and support kids like Lintz
It's even more weird than the shortlist is.

Asa and Tom look young. These new guys, on the other hand (that are being forced on us) look pre pubescent and I'm not exaggerating.

I hope the guys that are Googling these images aren't pulled up by the FBI.

Only a matter of time...

Could Marvel call Judah Lewis back for Gwen if Lintz gets the Peter role?
