I wouldn't be surprised if we see Spidey in a SB trailer, Sony needs a huge win for the character. Appearing in a CW spot should help create positive buzz online. As much as I'm excited for the reboot, Marvel/Sony haven't really done themselves any favors to this point in terms of generating great interest. Watts definitely has talent but when you consider that Black Panther hired Coogler and Gambit hired Liman, he doesn't seem like that big a deal in comparison (although he could turn out to be an inspired choice). The writers limited track record also isn't a huge PR win. If it wasn't for Marvel's involvement, this would feel like the last series all over again.

I just cant wait to we finally have suit revealed, title of the solo film and some more details. It does suck we are still in the dark so much. But again i am sure things are going to be worked out between sony and marvel/disney on marketing and promotion stuff. Sony would still be dumb not to have spidey in any pre release footage.

Heck i still feel it would be best to reveal more things on the 9th. Like i said it marks a yr from the deal gone public. And we are less then 5 months from the solo going into filming stage. We really cant be in the dark much longer. As casting, and other details have to and will be coming out within the next 2 to 3 months. So hopefully things will drop. So then we have some real deal stuff to finally talk about and move on from all the wild speculation and rumor bs stuff.

We do still have more then 80 days to civil war is released in its first airing markets. We are more then likely going to have 2 more trailers, and still more then enough time for any official photos, or concept artwork to also be released featuring anything with spidey.

Personally i am still in the mind set sony just wants to reveal the solo film details and info first. Then once its out there and the public knows sony is still in some control and what not with spidey and its not just marvel. Then marvel can start showing spidey related stuff.

I would hope that doctor spidey guy is telling the truth but who knows if he really does know anything. Also why is any one listening to dbs any more. I thought he was a total hack and had given up doing vids so i really wouldnt put much stock on crap he says. As for emayimbe he has been so off on marvel news as of late and he probably doesnt have much if anything.

as for the superbowl thing is we dont even know first how many spots 30 sec or 60 second disney bought for the game. Let alone which of the films out this yr might get one, we got alice 2, that zoo film, jungle book, and civil war. But who very wells knows which ones they want to promote.

I personally don't really care for Spidey switching sides. It's OK but I'd prefer for him to go his own way and during the final battle he concerns himself with saving people and showing the others what they have become and how far they have strayed from what they originally set out to do. So whilst he doesn't have the biggest role, he has an extremely important one by being a wake-up call to the others.

Also add in the fact that it's someone that young giving the other, more older and established heroes a wake-up call and you have a great deal of importance with Spider-Man heading into his solo film the following year.

Still trying to warm up to the idea of Spidey being a part of this MCU (I always preferred him alone and separate), but I really like this idea

Technically he is alone and separate, hopefully they don't shove connections to Infinity War down our throats in the 2017 movie and hopefully the movie is a smaller scale (kinda like Ant-Man)

Nope, i dislike it too, i hate the idea of having Iron Man in the stand alone as much as Batman hates the Joker.

Nope, i dislike it too, i hate the idea of having Iron Man in the stand alone as much as Batman hates the Joker.

I use to be in the same boat, guys. But I've come around to the idea tbh. Stark making an appearance would undoubtedly provide an extra boost for ticket sales and Sony is DEFINITELY going to want a piece of that MCU Golemine.

I just don't want him having a major role and stealing the spotlight from Spidey, but I wouldn't mind him appearing in a scene or two, as long as it doesn't have anything to do with Peter making a fool out of himself by trying to audition for the Avengers (like those LR rumors from last year ).
