so far it's been confirmed that in the level where you have to find Cable (the level where Hercules is a miniboss) you'll be getting the mission orders from Bishop, so he's at least going to be assigning us a mission, hopefully he'll be unlockable by the end of the game.

I hope that Cyclops is playable. He should be. After all, he's leader of the X-Men. What sense does that make that Iceman was in game and Cyke was not?

I hope the enemies don't level up with you. Otherwise, what's the point of becoming super strong if the baddies can beat you maxed. I remember in the first one I had maxed out Spider-Man's everything...and when I did his solo mission disc, it was still difficult.

Also, it better be less arcadey this time around. In true RPGs characters never stop feeling like themselves. Cloud felt like Cloud, the WHOLE game, you couldn't level up Tifa and make them the same. But Daredevil, Blade and a few characters began to all feel the same, especially the closer you get to maxing out.

^Tell me about it. All the superstrong characters were the same freaking guy. My friends and I had a team of Colossus, Thing, and Hulk going. Holy crap. Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

I loved Hulk. He was pretty much constantly on my team.

Anyone else find it strange he did not have special dialogue with Banner in MUA1?

That was more than a little weird but that game was pretty much slept through anyway. It really did not feel like any real effort was made.

yeah, there's defintiely a lot of room for improvememnt this time around

I for one am having trouble with the storyline and plot. In the comic book Captain America and Iron Man are bitter enimies (Good Idea). All the heroes choose a side (to register their secrect ID or not).

Iron Man's side makes registration a law and one side follows him:
Reed Richards
Ms. Marvel
Spider-Man
Thing
Wasp
She-Hulk
Most of the Super-Villians and of course more heros

Cap's side:
Luke Cage
Falcon
Sue Richards
Johnny Storm
Black Panther
Storm
Daredevil
Cloak and Dagger
Among others

From what I have seen of the game there is no clear side and most of these guys fight together e.g. Iron-Man fighting with Sue Richards and Johnny Storm.

I'm not clear on if there will be sides and who are the heroes fighting against. Can someone help clear this up please?

It's going to be based on the storyline, not follow it exactly. Who ends up on what side will ultimately be up to the user and CPU like any sports game's drafting system, I'm sure.

I can't wait to see how it plays out. There's a lot of factors to consider and how the story plays out is really going to affect who is on what side of the Civil War, so it should be exciting to see how it ends up coming together.

LOL is it just me or does this game have an OVERWHELMINGLY unbalanced male-female playable character ratio.
I mean of course there are more male superhero's..
But i mean.. Storm and Sue Storm.. who else?

What about spiderwoman? the white queen? phenix? kitty pride? wonderwoman? she hulk?

i hope they squeeze a few of them in there!
most hopefully jean grey! aha

im excited either way.

I don't want this to turn to another "why Kitty can not or could be playable" discussion, but Shadowcat is my most wanted character in MUA2. She's my favourite X-Man/X-Woman.

This game needs some Daughters of the Dragon. Team them up with Luke and Iron Fist, and you can have a Heroes for Hire team.

That. Would be. Awesome.

[cue "all non-powered fighters are the same" arguments, followed by "non-powered fighters don't belong in a SUPERhero game" snide remarks.]

A little creativity in weapons and their use, paired with a little creativity in superstrength effects will go a long way towards making the late game interesting, though.

Yeah. I'm sure there's more female playable characters coming, but they need to think outside of the box and put people like Colleen Wing and Misty Knight in. Maybe even some of the girls from Young Avengers/Runaways.

I personally want only Ms. Marvel and Spider-Woman back from the females left to go, though I think that only leaves one out, that one being Elektra, and considering how crucial Bendis and Marvel have made them to the Marvel Universe, they are shoe horns in.

But I want Colleen Wing, Misty Knight, Dazzler, She-Hulk, Nico Minoru, Karolina Dean, Molly Hayes, Stature, Pixie, Surge, Hawkeye, Dagger, Firestar. People who they might forget to put in the game that would be awesome given the chance to be playable.

someone on IMDB is acredited with doing Dagger and Songbird's voices, so they are at the very least NPC's
I'd love Firestar, Dazzler, Kitty, She-Hulk, Wasp, Crystal, Psylocke and Diamondback

She-Hulk would have been great in the last game when they couldnt put the Hulk in due to those liscense issues. But with this sequel, having her in would be too redundant considering Hulk is in this game.

I cant really think of how they can make Wasp interesting to play. Her powers dont really seem like they'd lend themselves will to a game like this. I can see her paired up with Hank Pym (and whatever identity he would assume in the game) as a helper character that comes out for some attacks and/or boosts of his

I would definetly love to see Crystal in. I doubt they'd put her in though bc ever since she left the Avengers, she hasnt been a major player in the MU. She coems out every so often, but stays isolated in the Inhumans world. She would definetly be fun to play as bc her powers are very versatile and would make her a pretty interesting character

Wasp would be good for puzzles, and kick ass fighting! she would be all over the place stinging people.

One of these days I'll videotape my mind and show you.

A cool feature would be to change the camera from over head to "behind the character" during solo missions, to make it feel more like an action adventure, than an RPG. It would change the pace up and allow you to get a better look at the characters.

that would be awesome. That's how i wanted it to be like in the Heroes Game (before it got canceled)

That would cool.
I like the idea of playing Wasp and Hank at the same time
I had sai before that I thought Cloak and Dagger should be like that too

there is sort of a camera angle like that. Check it out on this link

Shots like that could merely be cinematic angles. Like the kinds of shots you see in demo videos and trailers...

If the actual in-game camera is like that, Then I'd be okay. But there is one thing...

My comments about THIS camera would be: With a camera like this, it would be great to "switch" focus from a camera generally centered to a character-specific center. Like say the camera is set by default to have all characters on screen at once, then clicking the right shoulder button would be able to switch to Player 1. But then if you click again you'd select another hero or heroine and so on so forth.
