I know, but it helps explain his presence today (aside from original programmer laziness).![]()
What exactly do you mean, helps explains who's presence? Draken or Bone-Claw Wolverine? Either way, that's pretty doubtful that one as to do with the other
What was the difference between the two? I generally picked regular Wolverine when I'd play. Was Bone Claw faster? No adamantium to hold him down?
"Feral Wolverine" is faster, his attacks are able to combo incredibly well, and has the third lowest defense of all the characters in the game.
"Adamantium Wolverine" is a bit slower, his attacks are stronger but they cannot be chained as easily. He significantly higher defense than Feral.
Their assist types and specials are different too.
Ah, gracias. I knew it was going to have to do something with their speed. I didnt know about the different attacks and defenses though.
Does anyone know how the custom music will work for this game? Will I be able to insert songs for each stage? Does it save or do I have to load it each time? Can the in-game sounds still be heard over the custom soundtrack?
Also does anyone know a site that lists all the stages for Marvel vs. Capcom 2?
If you're thinking the pending digital release of Marvel vs. Capcom 2 is any indication that the path is clear for "Marvel vs. Capcom 3," think again. "The short answer is no, that's not any part of this deal," Capcom's Seth Killian lamented to Joystiq at a media event yesterday. "What we're hoping is that if people get really juiced about this title, and we can show Marvel that there's a lot of heat behind this, then they'll open up the door for us to do something with '3,' which is something we'd love to do." For now, licensing issues are preventing further developments.
The same is true for a North American release of Tatsunoko vs. Capcom. "It's a lot of 'dance with the lawyers' on that one," explained Killian. "The rights holders for Tatsunoko in Japan are one company, but in the U.S. it's ... 13 companies -- and some are very attentive and some are not." So if you've been holding your breath for this one, you might want to consider coming up for air.
Killian also told Joystiq that Capcom is considering releasing Marvel vs. Capcom 2-branded arcade sticks (à la the popular SFIV controllers). "It's a discussion ... we would love to make it happen. If you saw the 'leak' of those MadCatz sticks, that was actually B.S. That was a complete fabrication, but it's something we would love to do."

As of right now, no MvsC3...but if it sells well (and it will) they'll pursue getting Marvel to allow them to do it. I really hope they can pull it off.
The sticks were a fake, huh? That's kind of odd, but whatever.
This is more or less what I expected to be the case. The possibility is open for sure, but I figured it was a little too premature to be jumping up and down for MVC3. Hopefully this is will convince Marvel to go with it
Not necesarily bc it depends on the requirements for the different liscenses. While XML2 and later MuA were being developed by Activision, EA had the liscense for the fighting games and made Marvel: Rise of the Imperfects and had a 360/PS3 version being developed which has since been canned. Also at the same time, there was a 360/PC Marvel MMO being made which was dropped last year. I dont beleive there is any company currently working on a Marvel fighting game , so Capcom could work something out in that departmentFor a MvC3 game to come out, Capcom would have to have the liscense for every Marvel character thats on it.
And with upcoming Iron Man 2 coming out (as well sa a movie game, it's going to happen) that removes Iron Man and War Machine, as Activision has the rights. Continue with that trend for all the upcoming Marvel games, as well as the characters in MAU2:Fusion.
Capcom let the rights go of about 80% of marvels "main" list of characters (A-C list) after MvC2, and I really don't see them getting it all back.
It's not entirely up to Marvel though, that's the thing. If Activision has the license for Iron Man for 4 years, then no other company can use Iron Man for those 4 years unless they get the OK from Activision, at which they'd have to give a share of profit to Activision, as they hold the license/rights. Getting the OK from Marvel is a BIG part of it, but when MvC2 came out they were originally going to try for a MvC3 after they got the CvSNK series going, but lost all the rights and weren't able to get all of them back.
Well, I'm sure about about either what you or Havok or saying about the situation, I really don't know the contract situation. As far as Activision goes with the Iron Man license, I believe they have the movie licenses for IM, not necessarily the comic license for him, so that's not outside the realm of possibility. There was a situation similar to this when EA had the movie rights for LOTR, but Seirra had the book rights.
As far as MAU, I really don't know. What Havok said makes sense, but as I said I really just don't fully now the licensing situation. Even if the A-List is gone from the Marvel list and Capcom is forced into only the 'B & C-list' characters, they still have a wealth of characters from their side to sell the game with until something is worked out for MVC4 or something.

one that includes a big cast of Marvel characters.
