Marvel vs Capcom 2 on XBLA and PSN

I dunno why I put that "already" in there, my mistake. But I think that would be pretty awesome. To have the ability to download new characters, or maybe new modes, costumes, etcetera. But, I suppose someone could argue - why not just come out with MvC 3 then?

I doubt MvC2 will have DLC, because it's just a port of the Dreamcast game with some new features like online play, so I don't think Capcom will invest too much time on it. However, if it becomes a huge success, maybe they will consider doing MvC3. If Marvel would let them bring back MvC2, I think they will sell them the license again for the sequel.

Marvel vs Capcom 3 with Viewtiful Joe please.

Capcom...you hear me?

The demo is up on the PSN. Kind of annoying, you can only play with another person locally, there's no option to play the computer.

Nope. And it's kind of misleading, cause you'll see an option to choose multiplayer online but when you click on it, it just gives you a screen talking about the game and the features it'll include when the full download comes out.

Kind of a pointless demo, unless you've never seen the game. What with only six characters to pick from and what not.

That's too bad.

Damn... that kinda stinks :(

It is just a port, that's true, but it doesn't completely eliminate the possibilities of some type of future DLC.

probably not but IA with Raiden that Im not seeing DLC in its future. What kind of DLC are people looking for anyway? All I could realistically see them do is add new modes. Those expecting new characters, well I definetly dont see that

I highly doubt there will be DLC for this game. Especially not new characters.

For those concerned about the graphics, I just played it and it looks better than I would have expected it too. The new widescreen option that they have for HDTVs worked really well and the uspcaling of the sprites is a HUGE improvement over the originals. Im really interesting in how Morrigan will end up bc she was by far the worst one in the original game

Why not? I can see it as possible. A little unlikely, sure, but if the licensing situation is that Capcom really only has the rights for this and can't continue with a MVC3, at least for awhile, is it really that incredibly unbelievably not to see some type of DLC for it? I mean, my God, these guys are nickle and diming all over the place nowadays

I'm not expecting to see any at this minute, just not dismissing it like everyone else seems to be quick to do. There's all kinds of options for DLC, from alt costumes, new characters, new stages, new modes, etc.

Just got the demo downloaded and I was bummed that there was no play against the CPU. I don't really like playing the CPU that much, but I was really hoping to get some practice in just to get back into the groove before the real deal hit.

It's been so long I forgot what DP/DK meant and I was just like...what in the hell is this. It dawned on me shortly after, but I felt so dumb

I personally was expecting at least new modes. I admit, I was dreaming high when I thought that there could be new characters. I'd rather just see a new game than a bunch of add-ons. But if there was a chance of DLC - I'd like to see new modes and new stages. Costumes would just be palette swaps I imagine.

Well, at the very least they could add the few characters of the series that aren't there: Cheap Bosses Apocalypse, Onslaught and Cyber Akuma, as well as Norimaro. Maybe the Pallete swap characters, U.S. Agent, Carnage, Mephisto Morrigan/Lillith,Shadow, Shadow Lady. Not saying I'll die if they don't. Just that they COULD.

Personally, I think in terms of characters, there isn't any lack there. But it's certainly worth thinking.

Carnage was kinda cool looking in MvsC...I know it was just a red Venom with a speed type effect, but he was darn cool to look at.

No thanks! Palette swaps kill fighting games. Apocalypse would be cool but I'm more than happy with the huge roster we currently have.

Also I just realized that "Bone Claw" Wolverine is now an actual character in Marvel comics. His name is Daken and he's Wolverine's son. He's a member of the Dark Avengers and he even goes by the name of Wolverine. To top it off he has bone claws!

Also does anyone have a link to a site that has all of the stages for MvC2? Thanks.

well thats not Daken in the game...its Wolvrine. He had the bone claws in the mid to late 90s which was when the game was created

I know, but it helps explain his presence today (aside from original programmer laziness). :cwink:

There doesn't need to be an explanation of his presence in the game. Both characters play completely different, that's good enough.
