Exactly. Its not an actual match. Really Player vs CPU is such a simple thing that I cant beleive it got overlooked here. Its standard across fighters. I never really cared much for it in other fighters, but a crossover game like this, its alot more vital. I want to take my team up against custom lineups that I choose.

Just came from BB and they had no copies for either system. Weird.

Just set cpu life to not regenerate, it really works the same.

Anyway, first impressions after playing around a bit last night, total home run for the most part. I can't believe how great the netcode is now, it feels like a different game completely playing without lag, everything was so quick. Spectator mode was great, even playing around with buddies there were some sick hype moments that were fun to share with everyone (Strider xf3 ouroboros!!!!!!). The new characters seem super fun as well, and the old characters feel like new characters since combos, almost all of them, either need to be done differently or done with different timing. Fun to start at the beginning again (got my ass kicked by a buddy that I never lost to before, because he got the game a day before me and had some training room time).

Much to my chagrin, Nova is way harder to use than I imagined, but somebody kicked my ass with him in ranked so I see the potential, gonna take a lot of lab work. Hawkeye seems OP so far, and I'll definitely have to make him part of one of my main teams. Such great normal moves, and the only character of the new bunch whose relaunch is easy enough that I was able to sort of pick it up just playing in a lobby. Strider's made of glass but man is he fun, and powerful if you've got the meter or figure out some of his combos.

Can't wait to get back in there later, didn't get much sleep though. Stayed up a bit too late, and had feverish dreams about new combos all night, and now I'm a zombie at work.

I can't reiterate enough how improved the online is (on xbox), seemed like about ten times less lag (if there was any), and spectator mode was right on the money. Even played a guy on the opposite coast with no lag. They also fixed some small annoying things like getting bumped to the bottom lobby if the other guy ragequits on you. Only major complaint so far is the stupid order of the lifebars. Called in the wrong assist probably 15 times in just a few hours last night.

When is heroes and heralds supposed to be out?

We need to get a SHH lobby going at some point here.

The japs nailed it. A lot of those characters are weak sauce. Cyclops and Bishop are really the only ones who shouldn't of been there.


I decided to pick this up as I couldn't pass up the chance to kick ass as Ghost Rider and Hawkeye, which were really the only two new people I had to try. I still think they could of just made this dlc. Gonna hit that training room then go online. Spectator mode should make that a lot more fun.

I came very close to buying this game, but at the last minute decided not too. I just can't bring myself not to buy an overpriced expansion pack when there are soo many good games out there.
