Not to mention that excuse I'd accept for someone like Phoenix Wright. It's true. Here's the thing. Capcom gave us that cheap excuse how Mega Man has so little moves, and giving him new ones to make him a viable fighting character, wouldn't make him true to himself or whatever.
Now, Phoenix Wright, he doesn't fight at all, he mostly yells Objection. Giving him a moveset and making him a playable character before Mega Man, well, that would be a massive slap in the face of all Mega Man fans.
That is such an awesome cast list. You've got nearly every voice actor reprising their roles as their characters from other cartoons on the Marvel side. The full English voice cast:

Even if he didn't, what would be the problem with giving him new moves? A lot of characters in Smash Bros weren't known as great fighters, yet Nintendo didn't have a problem with giving each of them new moves.
The guys at Capcom say, Mega Man only has his Mega Buster and that supposedly wouldn't offer enough varied moves. F**k that. Like I said long before, combine close combat with a cannon for an arm and you have a moveset that writes itself. Who cares if he didn't have the moves in the main series. Look how freaking Samus Aran evolved from her side-scroller days.
I think Nitsuma would have been better off saying he didn't like Classic MM. He's always seemed to have a negative attitude towards.
And in other news I just saw a video with Hulk defeating Phoenix with one hyper. It was the moment she came in and her health was full.
the video with the high punch into super? yeah I saw that too and her health is pathetically bad, like half as much hp as akuma bad
I wouldnt say that she's a better character to have than everyone else.Capcom may have been looking for a character from a more recent series of games and the boss from TvC was in Okami too so I guess to them it makes sense for the main character to show up here. There are quite a few characters that deserve a spot on the roster.MODOK for most(or all) of us came straight out of left field. The inclusions of Deadpool,Thor,Super Skrull,Taskmaster,Phoenix,Haggar and several others makes sense for the story they are telling. This game is very different from MvsC2 in that its more story driven. So instead of wildly throwing in an insane amount of characters with no story mode to flesh them out we have a roster that fits into the story. If the inclusion of Amaterasu makes more sense than anyone else in the game then Capcom should scrap this project and just make another Okami lol.Well, Okami really didn't have much success, and Amaterasu is a she. But it doesn't matter that much, nerfed or not, she's a better character to have in the game than basically everyone else.

Son, I like the way you think. I like the way you thinkIf the inclusion of Amaterasu makes more sense than anyone else in the game then Capcom should scrap this project and just make another Okami lol.

How about that?I will play as everyone to get their endings. After that I'll have my favorites.
Yeah, they add new moves to characters all the time. I don't recall Iron Man magically making giant guns appear over his shoulder in the comics all that often...Even if he didn't, what would be the problem with giving him new moves? Do we get three endings every time we finish the story mode?
