Marvel vs. Capcom 3

Alright, everyone, give me a good reason not to buy the costume pack. I'm really tempted and I need someone to talk me out of it.

You'll just further the machine that is DLC. For example, Dragon Age II has like 60% of it's secondary storyline tied behind DLC locks. As in, all you get in that game is the bare minimum of a main story, and all side quests or non-main story missions are DLC.

That's why you don't support **** like DLC. Also, it's like 10$ just for some costumes. Really?:doh::doh::doh::doh:

I pre-ordered Dragon Age 2 and will get the Signature Edition with additional DLC content and tons of other stuff and all for the same price as the regular edition. And the costume pack is like $4,99. Next!

You don't want to get the dlc because the costumes are reslly awesome, especially Caps. Thor and Chris have great ones as well, plus the dlc is only 5 bux.....

Wait, I think I did that wrong.

You're not looking at the big picture. Typical though, of people who eat up DLC.

Thanks for ruining gaming.

didn't they release a multi pack for SSFIV for the costumes later down the road. if so i'm gonna wait

How are people able to block so damn quick? I mean for instance if my opponent is only a few feet away and I do a hyper combo 98% of the time they're able to block right on the spot. However when it's the other way around, even if I'm holding the back button, it doesn't work and I end up taking damage. What am I doing wrong?

maybe you were pressing buttons and were hit during either your start up or recovery frames

Now there's a good reason. I just don't know if I can't wait that long for Sparda. But if they release UDON Taskmaster, then screw it. I'll buy that immediately.

Shut the **** up already... all you do is ***** and ***** and ***** grow the **** up already they are just video games... if you hate what's happeneing to the industry... do this... Just stop find yorself a new hobby and quit saying we are destroying gaming.. no dumbass we arent

I don't get the whining about DLC either. No one is forcing you to buy it. If you don't want to get it, don't get it, but don't insult others that do. It's their own damn money, and they can do whatever they please with it.

If you're freaking out about spending five dollars for video game content, then maybe you need to get better priorities.

You guys are so angered, it pleases me. DLC can be done right, the way the Rock Band games did it was great.

However, games now a days are coming out with less and less and less release content and want more and more money for DLC that's either already disk locked or literally taken out of the game to generate more money.

Games are already expensive as **** to pick up, and it's a pain in the ass when I have to pay an additional 30$ just to get the full story.

But seriously, how mad you guys are? Hilarious.

i think the point is the dlc is already on the disc, which is pretty cheap of capcom, if it's brand new stuff you download then fair enough

Seriously trolling right now. Isn't there a rule for that somewhere........

You mean the ONE DLC party member? How is that 60% of storyline content again?

More just irritated and fed up of hearing you *****

You realize that the next three major DLC packs they're going to release for the game are ALREADY DONE and WERE DONE IN TIME TO BE SHIPPED ON RELEASE, yes?

And that EA took them out on purpose to make more money off the game.

That is EVERYTHING wrong with DLC.

Considering the first batch of costumes is indeed on the Disc, they should have offered it for free.

I always think it's a good move when a dev offers the first batch of DLC for free. It makes you more willing to part with your hard earned for future dlc

Especially when the stuff is already in the gamer's possession. They just need to unlock it. You give away the first DLC for free and charge for any additional DLC that follows.

And you know this... because?

Or are you just assuming because it fits your preconceptions?

I'd like to know after all where this oddly specific 60% figure came from?

Neither Bioware game aside from the day 1 DLC has really followed the Assassin's Creed or Capcom model of actually locking content on the disc.

And that DAO Day 1 DLC was actually free for anyone who bought the game. As it came with a redeem code.

Not to mention we're talking about freaking COSTUMES right here. If this were something like Spectator or Story Mode, I'd understand that, but I hardly believe that costumes are hardly "60% of storyline". I'm not buying them, but if I did, I'd hardly believe I'm destroying the game industry.

I got the 5 straight wins trophy today.Felt great.

Bioware's day 1 DLC is to fight againts piracy/people purchasing used copies. Capcom's costume DLC is optional fun for players who are willing to purchase them. Gaming industry is clearly ruined.

I just think Capcom is too greedy. Pretty much every other 3D fighter out there has multiple costumes in the game right from the start. Namco goes even so far to put a custom outfits creator into their games. But Capcom charges for all their alternate designs.

Which would be still ok to some degree, if it weren't for the fact that some content is already on the disc and basically in your possession. It's just locked. That kind of DLC is the biggest bull**** there is.
