Yes, SSFIV is much better than Third Strike...sorry. :p

I do!

And yes, Sparta, we do need to play again...and I'm up for either SSFIV or MvC3, as I loves them both. :D

Also, about spamming projectiles...that is a problem with fighting games in general, not only MvC3. Heck, MvC/SF/MK all of these have their fair share of projectile vomiting.

nice, ill be playing the mk demo on ps for a big chunk of time tonight, but if you are around ill be down for some mvc3 or ssf4 games! do you have ps and xbox?

No its better

agreed, much better IMO at least

I'm on the 360, and I'm pretty sure you're on my friend list.

Want one, I just can't justify the purchase with bills/children/wife/and all that. Hopefully some time this year I'll finally have one...but we'll see.

There is no greater feeling than beating the point character and assist at the same time with the Hulk's standing fierce punch.

then launching air series to knock down, OTG Rocks x-factor gamma crush. 2 characters dead at once

plus, a game where you can pick heroes and villains on your team ... and while the marvel universe all exists on the same plane of existence... the "capcom universe" does not.. hell... it doesn't even exist.... each franchise has it's own universe. So there's truly no logical way a story could work... MVC2 did it best... i assumed Ruby Hart and her crew were some sort of dimension/universal mystical travelers on there boat... picking up heroes from different worlds to battle an evil threat. This game, without Ruby and her gang... seem to just be thrown in for no reason

It's possible that there's an alternate universe where all those characters live together. It'd be a very f'ed up universe, but still a universe. :oldrazz:

Also, I think the MvC games are in a unvierse together. Many of the endings from this game & the previous games hint to that.

If you want exploration and **** like that go play Tekken 6.

Gotta disagree with you there. Parry > Focus Attack
i kinda agree there. its a little more satisfying taking a chance and walking into an attack with parries and turning it against your opponent then having a guard breaking move than can still avoided. i still freak when i see the Daigo video of Ken Parrying Chun Li's entire Lightning Kick super.:wow:

Online play is freaking frustating because it feels like the block function never works.

For you. But for them? It works 100% of the time and they don't even take chip damage.

That's the rule of fighting games.

I've had some bad lag input the other night. My player matches record is better than the ranked for sure. Sometimes I wonder if guys are using turbo controllers.

turbo wouldn't help in this game. sff4...maybe. i cant see it in marvel tho

Yeah I think some of those ranked kids are definitely using some cheats or some sort of modded controllers :) .

There's no other way to explain why my block function refuses to work.

just to let you guys know...any attack in the air (including flight mode) must be blocked high, crouching attacks must be blocked low, some assists must be blocked low, pressing buttons makes you vulnerable to attacks (startup animation)

I finally encountered someone who knows how to use She-Hulk. Her combos are actually pretty devastating when they connect (something that I can't do to save my life). I lost pretty badly but wasn't mad since there wasn't any projectile spamming.

WTF!

Thanks man. I had no idea. Now maybe I won't get spanked by X-23 so damn much.

And Hulk for that matter. I was wondering why I couldn't block his downward punch.

no problem man. The mixups in this game can be hard to deal with and missing an easy block can get you blown up really fast in this game. So hopefully by letting you know how to block moves, you can prevent missing those easy blocks :woot:

I had talked to a friend of mine today and the subject was sentinel. I was telling him how I didn't really fear Sentinel unless he had level 3 x-factor because he only has these gimmicks: bait you to press buttons on his super armored normals (cr. m, st. m, and S) or he'll try to fly and get you blocking low by mistake (big demoralizing combos follow). But If you know how to properly defend on sentinel, he really isn't hard to beat. Playing defense is soooooooo important. Somethings are really hard to defend when facing sick players, but i find no problem in defending against sentinel

I would rather face a whole team of Sentinels before I face one really good X-23 player. It's like Capcom knew I didn't want her in the game so they made her extra awesome just to piss me off.:csad::cmad:

She (and Hulk) are the two characters that I have the most trouble blocking against. She goes from high to low attacks too fast for me to think about switching between my crouch block and standing block. It doesn't help that she's one of the smaller characters.

Yeah, she's fun to play. I like her move set and she IMO has the best theme song in the game. I liked her so much I actually kicked Thor's Norweigan ass off my team. You can't go wrong with jaded Jennifer.
