Marvel's April 2007 Preview Solicits

I don't, if they knew they were switching it to a mini for 3-4 weeks why not say so? Having it revealed in a solicits is not the greatest PR stunt.

The only things which I am truly excited about in 2007 for Marvel are:

-Murdock's return to the US and his whole mess going on
-what the frick happens to Cap
-events that get the ball rolling for World War Hulk

...Sentry and She-Hulk will find out soon enough.

Really, the thing that I'm looking forward to the most is the continued excellent writing on books like Daredevil and X-Factor and CA, etc., etc. Just plain old good writing always trumps events, IMO.

Sucks that Omega Flight is a mini. Guess I'll trade wait for that.

And Ultimate Knights arc for USM sounded kind of interesting, but now seeing the word "ronin" in the solicits, the book stays dropped.

Fallen Son looks very interesting as well.

Now a big sigh due to Slott's book only being a mini.:csad:

Awsome :wow:

so who's the "captain" looking guy in omega flight?

Is it just me or has his sheild been changed?

i thought he was still in that judge dread looking costume.

Why does it matter? Its not like they told you this now and it comes out this week. It comes out in April. Dont worry about it, get your friends to read the book, buy 2 copies and hope sales warrant an expansion into an ongoing. Yeesh.

Dude,I so hear ya.I was thinking about getting Knights, since I like Warriors, but now that Ronin is in it,no way.

And yea,Slott's "Breakout Hit" is just a mini series? That's BS.I'd have his Avengers book over both of Bendis' any day.

We knew the Initiative was going to be a mini, if I recall correctly.

Well there won't really be all that much point to it once WWH starts up since that's going to be the thing that removes the SHRA. No more SHRA, no more initiative

Or will further cement the idea that the SHRA is necessary when Hulk comes down rampaging down your street.

Hulk is a force of nature, you can't train him or teach him to control his powers. You can't lock him up and since most of the time his mind goes away you can't hold him responsible. The SHRA in no way applies to the hulk.

But it does apply in trained heroes defedning the city/world from this "force of nature" DUH!:o :whatever:

You can always i dunno kill his alter-ego Bruce Banner. Doc samson has proven thier is a way to control Hulk.

Yeah they changed it

Matters to the Alpha Flight fans, who had some of their favorite characters killed off-panel and we don't hear anything for months and then they tell us there is a glimer of hope that they will be getting a push and once again they pulled the rug from out of us. I already have been promoting this book for months, and did I say I wasn't going to buy the series? It's the principle they screwed the true and true Alpha Flight fans.

**** the principle. Fact is Marvel loses either way. They give you the damn ongoing, sales suck ass, they cancel it, you get all pissed and start petitions again. They give you guaranteed 5 issues, with the possibility of more if sales warrant it, you ***** anyway. Get over it. Buy your damn comic book, and if sales are good, it will be expanded. For God's sake.

I would say the opposite, it'll back the government into a corner. It will force them to get anyone they can onside, registered or unregistered. Once it's all over this will mean that the unregistered heroes will be just about untouchable as the public will not allow people to be locked up who have just saved them en masse. It's the perfect way to get rid of the act

Hmmm, not really, because the government can just turn it on them with "The problem would've been resolved quicker if those heroes were registered" See Hippy, you're not thinking this all the way through.:o

Or alternatively the heroes were all working well together before the act, then it got introduced and divided them. This meant we couldn't react quickly enough when a crisis occured. If it ain't broke don't fix it/ :o

Its the government Hippy, they can twist it any which way they want. Real world example, the Dems want to cut funding for the war in Iraq, what does the White House say? "Democrats are putting our troops into danger" Oh noes!!!1!!
