Homecoming Marvel's Spider-Man Costume!? - Part 1

At first I hated the costume as much as everyone else did. but it gradually grew on me
That's because it's the worst costume in CBM history, IMO. Sorry not sorry.

You like Raimi's costume, yet think TASM 2's is a piece of garbage? Huh?
TASM2 is a REHASH of Raimi's costume, it isn't original. (New materials and webbing similar to the first TASM costume would have made it different enough) Raimi's is his own design and even though it isn't perfect, I can appreciate it for keeping all the same details while adding his own spin to it.

Raimi's is his own design because it was the first design, cinematically. There was nothing to compare to? It was accurate to the comics in most ways, so it's fair to assume that future costumes (being fairly accurate to the comics) will be similar to Raimi's. I don't see why some people can't understand that? It's not a REHASH if they're both trying to replicate the same source material. Of course you're going to have similarities. What an unfair argument.

It IS a rehash if you're going to use the same materials, the same patterns (brick pattern) and raised grey webbing.
None of those attributes listed above contribute to a comic book accurate Spider-Man movie design, they are all purely aesthetic.
I'm so sick of this same argument! people always try to say "of course it's going be similar, they're based on the same costumes!!! :p" Sony went out of it's way to make the costume resemble Raimi's original design
If only they had improved TASM1..

If you can't see the many obvious differences between the two costumes then this needs to end. Actually no, let's just end this here. This agreement is stupid.

Of course there are obvious differenc- you know what? Marvel/Sony aren't going to use TASM2, so there's no point in this debate.

Also why use the absolute WORST pic and version of the Raimi suit?

It's a full frontal picture of the suit? It's a generic standing pose with good lighting and it's a high quality image. Would you rather I used the CGI version of the suit lol?

Ah, I see where you're coming from, still a terrible pic of the suit though, but I see why you used it.

SM2 suit is just gorgeous:

As did SM1:

I loved SM2. I also loved the Raimi suit in general. In all films.

I think everyone does, if they can make a Spider-Man movie better than Spider-Man 2(which they have failed to do 3 times), then that'd establish this Spider-Man series as the new definitive series.

Repost from a repost of a repost that stemmed from an original post (credit goes to that original poster considering I don't remember his username):

Maybe make the eyes a tad bigger to add a little more white in, but that is my ideal suit for the next series.

That's nice, web pattern is...strange. Eyes are perfect imo. Chest Spider is cool too. Colors look spray painted though red is slightly more vibrant in some places. Blue is exactly like Raimi's shade though. In general it's a slight redesign of the Raimi suit in my eyes. But a nice suit nonetheless.

Also, anyone ever look at the Spider-Man costume on screen and wonder.

"How do they take that off?"

I never spot any zippers or lines or anything.

His name was ntbone
I love the design but not sure how it would transfer on screen

The zippers are hidden along the border of the red and the blue on the side of the suit and along the belt in the back in a U shape

Even worse than TASM2!

color scheme wise, I'd like to see something closer to this...

they always go to dark with the blue in the movies

I personally like the design of the first one better. I like the colors of the second one though. And the blue texture.
I like darker blue. They might be able to use a brighter red with a darker almost navy blue... I'm fine with a bright or dark red, as long as it still has a higher saturation, I don't like pastel red. (Same goes for the blue, but I still like it better darker)
