Never said it was too cartoony. Infact I'm pretty sure if the GA can except it in deadpool they can except it in Spider-Man and the GA makes up the majority of the BO. Which is what Studios are really after. I doubt something as small as expressive eyes or armpit webs will change that.

Sure if they could make it plausible I wouldn't mind it. But really you have to look as how these films are and why things like expressive eyes and Web pits haven't been used. There is reason for it.

But really could you picture a standard looking small size camera lens attacked to a Lyrica or cloth mask look good or make you think it looks like spidey. I don't see it.

I rather just stick to the way eye lens have been with fulms. What ever size and shape they are and so forth.

Ok so don't mind this image. I don't have photoshop and was just using Microsoft paint for this. But I think it gets my point across. Camera len eyes just would look odd and really stick out on mask. Let alone we look more like Johnny five from short circuit or that blue fish guy from hellboy.

That's what those supposed Russo twitter lenses might actually look like on a mask. I dig it.

possible but still if that twitter was real i cant really see cameras for mask lens being a very pratical thing to do. Again they would have to stick out more then normal lens. then what about the actor/stunt guys wearing the mask how are they to see. It would just really be a silly thing to do for spidey's eyes when the films so far for the most part have nailed the look of the eyes. There is other things they can do with making mask look more expressive ie with actor moving head more, less full head faceshell so we can actually see actor nose/mouth move and what not.

As for that pic you posted harry it looks neat, but i dont really feel it for spidey. Plus it really doesnt fit much with what little we heard on the suit so far. Where did you find this image?

How will they see? well, they'll see out of the lenses of course! If they truly are emotive, then they can use a widened version for Tom and stuntmen. And they could always use CGI touch-ups in the film to make it look and blend in better. And you can't say "Well, why would Marvel waste their time and money on using subtle CG?" because they actually did a similar thing with Vision by making his ears poke out less. So that just goes to show you that they'll do what they can to make their heroes look good on film.

And I was only using the mask as an example, I was in no way suggesting that design for Spidey.

still i see it making mask look weird and have vision problems for the actors and what not. Yes they can alter it with cg in post. But why go through all that problems and design look. When regular eyes as they been in all the past films are near perfect.

Also thanks for link to that image, and ya that silly rumor was real bad. But we know that isnt the deal as per the EW set report and we knowing before hand we doing red and blue suit. Again really the question is material suit is made from, and the detailing elements we dont know what is what.

It has something going for it but the tribals....UGH!
Eliminate the red parts behind the circle belt, make the webbing more precise.

Would definitely be happy to see this as an *exclusive* suit for Civil War

This would be just perfect. The colours are most suitable for the MCU and the design is just classic Spidey but with that 'Ultimate' twist. Plus, I like those additional stripes at the shoulders and forearms, so that it doesn't look completely bare if the arm stripe is missing, ala Ultimate.

One thing I still do not get, what would be the purpose of Spidey's eyes being camera lenses?
I know he's a photographer, but really, common sense would make it kind of awkward for him to try and sell such near impossible close up pics of fights, villains, etc.

And even if he does for some reason get camera lense eyes, why is everyone thinking he's going to have early 2000s camera lens look when high quality camera lenses are much much smaller in everyone's cell phones these days?

I just don't see it happening.

Pretty much everyone is in agreement that camera lense eyes would suck, even though It would never be a regular camera eye, but a heavily modded version.

I don't see Red and Black happening either. I remember a report from someone on set interviewing one of the Russos and saying they saw someone in a RED AND BLUE SUIT. Besides Red and Black just don't feel like it'd mesh with the MCU tone.

I like the idea but never imagined actual functional camera lenses. I imagine it to be like a camera lense because it has that type of shutter over the eye piece. Taking photos with his eyes would be next to useless because he makes money taking pictures of himself.
