I mean, why not? It's definitely something I've been advocating for for a while now.

And as I said before, it'd be nice if they used some villain designs from it, too.

Like what villain designs?

This gives us an idea of what the rest of the suit would look like, namely the mask.

It'll be its own thing... I don't see why Marvel would feel the need to take any inspiration from the USM cartoon suit when there are so many other better and truly classic designs to choose from.

Besides, that show is just bad.

it's not that they'll take inspiration from the cartoon costume. It's just that the costume in that cartoon is a reflection of what Marvel likes the classic costume to look like, so it's likely we will get something really similar. But even then it's still basically 99% the same costume as in the comics, so being inspired by comics vs. being inspired by the cartoon costume-wise is basically potato potatoe (no idea how that saying is supposed to be written)

There's these designs by Nick Bradshaw for the upcoming Spidey series he's drawing, do you guys think this could be hints toward what Marvel's doing for the costume? It's got the no red down the arms like the Ultimate cartoon, but also if you look closely the palms for the gloves are blue.

I really really like this design. the eyes could be a bit bigger, like medium sized, but other than that... that's a perfect design to freshen up the classic look

It's weird that the palms of his gloves are blue.
It's alarming how quick I noticed it.

I don't know, i think it looks not that bad, i mean it kinda gives it a feel of being ''Homemade''. Also, wasn't the suit in the cover Red and Black?

I noticed it quick as well. Not surprising since we've both been looking at Spider-Man costumes/art the majority of our life...when something new/different is attached to the suit, it sticks out.

I don't care for how the back of his head is shaped--looks like an alien skull. And why don't the webs on the suit wrap around that strange looking bulbus? Odd.

It might be, and I love everything on that design, the only thing I would change is the eyes. (would make them a just little wider)

And i'm really excited for this new series!

his head looks a little to alien in that picture (I know its just a drawing and it wouldn't look like that it real life, but still)

Love the art design for the new series. It's very New X-Men: Acadmey X.

A whole new Spider-Man cast, for the 3rd time. It's so EXCITING! :D

I would not want any usm toon villain designs. And seesh people keep getting hung up on the show. That show past shows will really not have any bearing for the film. As the film folks don't work on the toons. Again only thing from ultimate and more so from the comics then the show we will likely see in mcu spidey be him being a teen and dealing with hs setting. Everything else will likely be taking aspects from asm, spidey loves mj and probably loads of other inspirations.

As fir that spidey book those must have been some early designs as we know it isn't what we are getting. Again I doubt that book will have any connection to mcu spidey. If we get any close to comics suit it more likely be the current asm look minus the glowing eyes and logo bits.

I quite liked that Ultimate Spider-Man suit posted a page or two ago after having already seen it before.

I think the simple web pattern works extremely well and it allows for black webbing to be uses without the suit looking too busy. I love the shiny spider emblem too. It's probably the perfect suit (to differentiate Marvel's from the other two/three incarnations) IMO but as others have said, it would benefit from texture. Also, I don't like how the Ultimate suit is missing the arm stripes; I feel that's an essential part to the red and blue suit, even if they're really thin, like in both TASM suits.

Anyway, I did a manip of that suit with some texture (some random hexagon pattern I found on google images):

It's likely that the MCU suit will be their own take but still look professional and aesthetically fit in with everything else going on in that world. As other users have said though, they need to make this one-piece suit work in this world.

Nice!

The suit would work for me like that. Clean, simple and classic

Personally on the whole t3xture deal I rather just take raised Web lines and logos then have any brick or hexagon patterns all over the suit.

Sorry, but that diamond spider emblem is one of the most hideous ideas I've seen in this thread.

Doubt it. Marvel Studios always gets the costumes right, so I have no worries that we will not have a diamond or circle spider emblem, nor any of the other horrible ideas I've seen in this thread.

I'm just being patient and every so often punishing myself for looking at some costume ideas in here.

But yes, a teaser and the reveal can't come soon enough.
