Homecoming Marvel's Spider-Man Costume!? - Part 7

That really is nitpicking....

Yeah, I said they came so close to replicating the round back spider, so I know that it's a small difference. But why do it? It's not like they've made some grand improvement, it's a pointless little change that just makes it slightly worse in my opinion.
Everytime I see it, it looks flawed. Spiders don't have legs on the very top of the head, so I keep seeing the antenna on a cockroach or lady bug. They're even longer than all the other legs. The top two pairs are packed close together so that there's a larger empty gap in the middle. Why?

I don't understand why they came so close to replicating the round back spider, then ruined it by sticking the two top legs right on top of the circle. They look like antenna. They have a width and shape that makes them stand out among the other legs.
If you're just looking at Harry's avatar, then I understand your complaints, but the picture from the actual movie doesn't have the top two legs look like antennae.

EDIT: I would have preferred a John Romita Sr. back spider to this Ditko-esque one, but I'm still happy we've finally got a round back spider. Spidey's back symbol hasn't looked this good since this:

I'm not overly familiar with John Romita Jr's work, but from that picture-- yeah, you're right.

EDIT: And a quick google search reveals another example:

I never liked the Raimi back spider, I'm really happy with what we got.

As am I. Only thing I would change is make the black parts blue to enhance the overall flow of the suit while keeping the modernized, aerodynamic look that the suit has.

Hohohoooo you gotta get on that my friend. His work on Spider-Man is nearly, if not just as iconic as his father's in my opinion.

You can check out the issues listed above from about a decade ago, colored by Isanove, which I was very fond of and is collected in various trades. He also came back for a pretty big story titled "New Wars to Die" colored by Klaus Janson who did The Dark Knight Returns, and gives Romita's artwork a totally different tone, very impressive.

Eh, well I've seen his work before, but-- iconic or not-- I don't like his style that much.

Going through deviant art I absolutely love some of the ways they've incorporated the new costume into the art.

You know, for the home made suit I'd like something like this:

Or this:

The above drawing is pretty much the only design that involves exposed skin that I'm okay with. It's also one of the few designs that involve armor that I'm okay with.

That actually looks much better. My criticism was based on Harry's avatar. Nevermind.

Think the black arm stripes might be a nod to the Reilly suit:

I could go for this! :D

as for the pouchs and black stuff on arms like others have said maybe they serve some reason we just dont know yet to the film comes out. So maybe it will have a reason post release. Or by time solo film/sequels/infinity wars comes they will make a few changes and remove the black bits.

Also cool costume fig posted back a page. Really cant wait to see real toys, action figures, pop figures, and statues come out of the mcu design.

What's with the fascination of him not wearing any shoes in some of these manips? Is it so people will believe he can actually stick to walls? Looks so weird...

i know its not like he would run around nyc without shoes he doesnt have invul skin.

I guess I'm the only one who really dislikes the front spider logo.

It's just so not Spider-Man.

Uhh:

I'd say it's the most-like Spider-Man so far. The closet one to the general comic shape. I think you're just use to the larger logos of TASM series.
