The Amazing Spider-Man Mary Jane Watson Cast, New Villain Rumor for Sequel - Part 1

^ I know right? The Ultimate Six comes to mind, but just for the sake of speculation, who'd be your favourite Six? (ahh I can see Sony latching onto merchandising opportunities already).

Seeing as how filmmakers have thus far confused MJ and Gwen over two separate series of the franchise, I'm assuming that Reboot-MJ will be like Ultimate Gwen -- the dangerous, ****ty, pressing girl with a few suggestive piercings and a bad attitude that puts thoughts into Petey's head.

At least at first when we get to meet her. The obvious way to introduce her would be "the new girl in school" who also happens to be the niece of the Watsons next door.

I really want them to bring in Robbie Robertson in this. He was always one of my favourite supporting-characters and lent a fatherly hand whenever he could. I could be wrong, maybe that's Curt Connors from here on out.

[And a side-note to TheWatcher: I'm reading your sig and thinking what's so wrong with talking about internet culture? And... would literature and the arts fall into the first category or the second?]
I just like it as a quote, from my favorite musician.

I hope they use the Green Goblin as the villain for number 2. Heck, I'd even settle for him being the villain in #3.

With Electro coming in as the villain for the 2nd movie there will most likely be even more build-up of Norman Osborn which will lead to him becoming the GG and be the main villain for the 3rd. It's even possible to have that transformation taking place near the end of the 2nd.

I say introduce Norman in the second and then turn him into GG in the 3rd or at the end of 2.

Norman needs to be established before they turn him into GG.

i hope they don´t do the death of Gwen Stacy with other villain, i hope is set up for the 3rd movie

I wonder if they would kill Gwen within the first 20-30 minutes of TASM3. If it's the end of the trilogy they shouldn't end it on a sad note. Peter needs, deserves, some type of redemption.

TASM3 part 1 and part 2? lololol

Definitely. I seriously think Norman is gonna be the "surrounding" villain. It villain in the background for tasm2. Heck, on a side ish note, I do hope they show spider-man fighting random villains like rhino or something. Just for the heck of it. That would be fun. Someone posted this thought somewhere too..

If they can do it with Twilight and Potter, why not?

just imagine if they go with Amazing Spiderman 3 as a two parter , but the first part ending with Gwen Stacy´s death and in part 2 Peter discovering the truth about his parents and starting a new relationship with MJ

Its a good option from a financial prespective aswell

Saves a lot of money, doing 2 movies together

The books actually carry a lot of stuff that the director isn't able to satisfy the fans with in only one film. Same with how The Hunger Games will have two parters of its last film as well. It's good marketing for those films, but there's no reason to have two parters with original storylines as they can be presented in one film.

IMHO, I think it's more about the money that the studios will make from having two movies released instead of just one. Like spiderdevil said, it's cheaper to make two movies together and they get more money from actual sales.

Eh, a part 1 and part 2 of ASM3 wouldn't make sense since that would basically be the same as calling it ASM3 and ASM4.

It's different when it comes to Harry Potter because those are books that the films are adapting.

It's when some fans said The Dark Knight Rises should've been a two-parter. I don't see it, although I would let that slide only because it could have needed a second part with the IMAX time limit. So far, I don't think the incoming two sequels will have a problem with IMAX.

But they can be produced together

Any thoughts on what Electro might look like? When I first saw USM Electro, I thought it was bit silly, but its nice.

Well, he better have films that can fit under 2 hours and 45 minutes, lol. Biggest thing that hurt TDKR, as much as I love the film, is fitting under the IMAX running time.
