Imagine if Jackson told all the actors that they wouldn't be using any CGI to change Serkis' appearance.

Idk, from behind the scenes and such he was on set with Elijah Wood and Sean Astin most of the time.

I swear I was just reading something from him where he talked about having to do a bunch of stuff alone on a green screen for LOTR.

Ignore my revisionist theory I guess. :funny:

I need it to be Monday so I can read these reviews.

Maybe Serkis was talking about The Hobbit. Jackson did use a lot of greenscreen for those movies than he did for LOTR.

Tempting, but I just rewatched Rise this week.

There are new tv spots that reveal what the plot of the film actually is...

The little girl, Nova, is the only known carrier of the Simian virus. Harrelon's character believes she will finish destroying humanity so he is trying to find her and destroy her. That's why him and Caesar are fighting. Caesar tells him he will do anything to protect the little girl.

Damn, I was excited until I saw that it was only in 3D.

I rewatched both Rise and Dawn last week. Rise didn't hold up as well for me as Dawn did. I was surprised because I remember initially liking Rise more. Dawn grew on me.

Same. Rise and Dawn are soooo different. In style, in storytelling, in everything. Yet both are very good.

Hoping War is going to be in a whole new level.

Matt Reeves direction is just better to me than Wyatt's.

I've only seen RotPotA once, but outside of some Caesar scenes, I thought it was poor.

So tickets finaly have start going on sale around me while 1 theater and just its first showing on july 13. When are reviews for this supost to start coming out again? Monday right and Thursday for Spider-Man homecoming?

I didn't care much for it either, seen it 2-3 times. The scenes with Caesar are great, but the human characters and everything involving them are really boring.

I loved Dawn though, I'm due for a rewatch. Haven't seen it since theaters.

Rise I liked but didn't love it did like james franco in it the rest of the humans didn't care for much didn't see it in theaters because it didn't look interesting to me and I can tell if I am going to like a movie from the previews like 95% of the time and don't come away dissapointend that much either. I saw it like a good few years I think after it came out has I heard a lot of good things about it so watched it when it happened to be on TV. Dawn though I love and like a lot more and did see it in theaters has the trailers it looked great. War I think could end up maybe being even better.

I think Rise is a fine movie, but if it was a standalone, I probably wouldn't have much impetus to revisit it. The movie just sorta drags when it isn't about the apes. The humans in Dawn are still less interesting than the apes, but at least the movie doesn't feel like it stops dead when it focuses on them.

I'm pretty interested in Woody Harrelson's character in War, I think he could finally be a human character equal to the apes.

Chris Stuckmann gave it an A+. Called it a masterpiece and said its the best of the trilogy. He was absolutely floored by the film.

Lawd. I'm not ready for this.

I couldn't get into these. Rise was ok, but never quite got into Dawn. I was... a bit bored with those films. Was even wondering why all the fuzz around those films.

However, Stuckmann gave it an A+ and Jahns called it "Awesometacular" and raved about it. This got me intrigued.

Maybe third time is the charm?
