Edited because Film School Reject's review answered my spoiler question.

If you're avoiding spoilers, don't read that one.

My gut says this ends just slightly above Dawn at 91, complementing WW at 92 and Logan at 93.

Any reviews mention Woody Harrelson's character? (good or bad)

As the antagonist, Harrelson’s performance ranks with the best of his career, and while many are comparing him to Brando’s Colonel Kurtz, there’s more to it than that - giving him some shading that I didn’t anticipate. He’s certainly the villain, but he doesn’t think he is, and Harrelson draws on his talent in a way that’s beyond the norm. Sometime actors of his caliber treat these movies as a lark - but Harrelson has clearly gone deep in a way that pushes the envelope even more.

The reaction of this film has been astounding. I cannot wait for this film. Watching the pre-screening lists closely waiting for St. Louis screenings to pop up. I've had good luck getting into pre screenings this summer. (Waiting for everyone else to be able to see Baby Driver after seeing it a month early has been a strange experience.)

How do you find pre-screenings? Is there some website that lists all prescreenings in America?

Please loan me your time machine. I wont to check on some things in the future.

Its less a matter of seeing the future and more a matter of being able to spot and smell the burning garbage heap out on the horizon.

advancescreenings.com is a good place to look. You can search by movie or by city. They can be a bit slow sometimes though and the passes will be snatched up by the time they post the link.

Almost all of the studios have their own screening pages now. Fox's I haven't been able to find. Sony is somewhat bizarre. They sent me tickets to 4 different screenings of Baby Driver. I'm not sure what audience they'll have left this week when it finally opens.

I've gone to several screenings this year. For a long time most St. louis screenings were only available through contests but there was one site that I knew where they liked witty answers to their trivia contests so I would win. Every single time. When I was in college I went to screenings pretty much every other week depending on what was playing.

Hype! Never would have predicted this type of success for this franchise when Rise came first came out.

Reading some reviews indicate that the movie isn't particularly action-heavy despite the name, possibly even less so than Dawn. Wonder if this will make the GA feel misled.

Hmm. I was expecting the opposite, and a pacier movie that Dawn.

Welp, in my idiocy I was reading about the movie on Tumblr, and someone posted an open spoiler from one of the reviews that

Caesar's wife and baby son are killed.

I don't understand why reviewers want to spoil movies that they clearly recommend people see.

Oh that's brutal. This movie is going to make some people cry.

As for spoilers, if you want to read reviews and don't like spoilers you should probably avoid tumblr and Twitter "reviews".

Does anyone know how much time passes between Dawn and War?

2 years.

It's actually not
his baby son, but Blue Eyes who is killed along with Cornelia at the beginning by the Colonel. Unless the little one dies later on, but man that would be dark.

^Okay apparently Fox doesn't see that as a massive spoiler? :funny:

Fox went from Fantastic Four and Tim Burton's PotA to Logan, Deadpool and the fantastic PotA trilogy.

They've come a long way, baby.

Well, that cements why his persona has taken such a turn.

I mean, I think most of us figured out at least
one of them was going to die anyways
but still seeing it in that clip feels like a big deal.

As mentioned before, I couldn't get into these series (thought Rise was good and was a bit bored with Dawn).

However, after those reviews for War, I simply HAD to buy tickets for it. Everyone is saying it is amazing.

I am also doing a Rise/Dawn marathon and giving the series a 2nd chance before seeing War!

Am I the only one who's still amazed at the existence of these films?
