They did a darn good job casting the show. That certainly wasn't the problem. I especially wish that Iwan Rheon could play Maximus in the MCU. Alas, it seems a recast is inevitable. And I definitely understand why they wouldn't want to be associated with the series.

That would be an amazing cast.

I think the Inhumans are better supporting characters or antagonists in other characters' films. The ruling family of a kingdom organized by a caste system doesn't make the most sympathetic or likeable characters, but it does make them interesting. And I want to see Black Bolt and Medusa as jerks who may or may not help you out or could even make things work.

The TV series partly didn't work because Maximus was pretty much right. Your genetics shouldn't determine whether or not you work in the mines.

They should be introduced as morally grey. Just like the Game of Thrones families.

An mcu Attilan would be awesome to see too. In fact, if they’re planning their next infinity saga sort of thing that would be an awesome place for a climatic battle

I like the idea of using them as supporting characters. They were fairly Pollyanna when they interacted with Ms. Marvel (since this was the post-Inhumanity kind face they were putting on), but I feel a larger role in a Ms. Marvel show where they're actually a bit more ambiguous could work.

I'm not sure Marvel would dare do this, but Ms. Marvel's story when it interacts with the Inhumans works best as the story of a child of immigrants. There's always a tension between being American and adopting your parent's culture. Add on top of that the discovery that there's a whole different culture that you're a part of, there could be an interest in learning about Attilan's culture. But it would be worth discovering that cultures are messy. There are good parts and bad parts that make up the exciting and fascinating whole.

It’s interesting to me that this thread got bumped now. Are people interested in the Inhumans now because of the current Royal situation?

if so, which of the Inhumans is the Harry and which is the Meghan?

Crystal is I guess is the Harry as she's related to the Duchess. The Meghan would be Quicksilver or Human Torch or whoever non Inhuman was married to Crystal.

Not that I think Meghan is a diva but I do see quicksilver as a diva so it kind of works

I hope they save the Royal Family for the big screen this time.

Maximus would be fun to see. But I guess the challenge is not just making him Loki lite

Totally. And audiences should be alienated from them and shouldn't be able to relate. They are the perfect characters to demonstrate the Fantastic Four's diplomacy.

One of my fav story lines was the early FF comics when The Inhumans were introduced. I'd love to see them in a FF movie. That's a combination that could make for a really interesting movie.

I think Kate Winslet would make a really good Medusa. She has the beyond regal bearing about her. Maybe Emma Stone as Crystal.

I prefer Kate Winslet as Medusa and Imogen Poots as Crystal.

Look at them. Imogen looks like a younger version of Kate. They would look realistically like sisters.

Poots is pretty damn adorable. Jesus, Kate is a stunner. I just think Emma is one of the best actors going right now. She had me rolling at times in the last Zombieland movie. She didn't even have to say anything. Just the looks on her face were killin' me.

They should have done Civil 2 as a season of AOS. Coulson and his team dealing with Ulysses and his visions of the future and used him as a reason for the royal family to show up causing a standoff. then after we have met Blackbolt and the others spin them off into their own show.

I really don’t know anything about Ms. Marvel but that sizzle reel looked really sweet/cute. Really wishing success for the main lead too

I would laugh if it was Anson Mount lol

I feel like we pretty much got mcu Inhumans with the eternals
