MCU Inhumans

I think the actress who played Crystal was pretty bad, but some of the others were quite good. Anson Mount in particular was great. I doubt they'd use him again, but I actually think he'd make for a better choice than Vin Diesel who was always rumored for the role.

For a big screen Medusa and Crystal, I always wanted Kate Winslet and Imogen Poots respectively. They also look enough like each other to be siblings.

That would be fun. We definitely need Kate winslet in the mcu

Anson Mount got shafted like a mother****er, he really deserved to play Black Bolt on the big screen.

I thought, visually - Triton, Gorgon and Karnak looked ***+. I didn't mind that they racebend Gorgon, but those hooves looked bad so as his costume and he should have been hairy. Triton looked budget tv and they basically just painted him green. While they should have cgied Karnak's forehead.

The only characters that I found passable for film (looks wise) are Lockjaw and Crystal. The costume for Maximus, Black Bolt and Black Bolt looked a bit cheap.

Blackbolt looked like this emoji the whole time

I would say wait it out for like 3 to 5 years and then try again

Holy ****. This basically confirms a MCU reboot is happening imo.

Inhumans Star Anson Mount Addresses Rumored MCU Reboot
Not really, I think what he’s referring to is the rumor that I posted a few pages ago that they are casting for Maximus and Black Bolt on the Disney Plus Ms. Marvel show. That doesn’t confirm things one way or another.

And keep in mind, Mount wouldn’t know any information about what Marvel Studios is doing. He’s never worked for the movie division, only the television division which has now recently moved under Marvel Studios. He probably knows about as much as we do.

Regarding the sets, costumes etc., yeah, they were a little cheap, but the story and writing are what really made the show unwatchable.

With writing on a level of say, Legion or Daredevil, I feel like they could have made a pretty good show even with those costumes and sets.

They did a darn good job casting the show. That certainly wasn't the problem. I especially wish that Iwan Rheon could play Maximus in the MCU. Alas, it seems a recast is inevitable. And I definitely understand why they wouldn't want to be associated with the series.

It will be interesting to see if Marvel actually has some interest in attempting the Inhumans again or if they'd view them as redundant with the Eternals movie coming out.

If they're recasting its entirely possible they gave him a heads up and said they won't be moving forward with his version of the character and will go in another direction.

I have a hard time believing that if only because I doubt they'd been keeping in touch with him anyway. Show got axed a while ago and Anson Mount moved onto other projects, so I don't really see them having maintained contact on the off chance they wanted to bring him back for a movie or something.

The claim that Marvel wants Aaron Johnson to play Maximus also raises my skepticism. We've seen actors play multiple roles before (most recently Gemma Chan being cast as Sersi in The Eternals after already having played a Kree villain in Captain Marvel), but I have a sneaking suspicion that Quicksilver may return in the upcoming Wandavision show.

I think a courtesy like that is in character. We've seen the bad press other projects have gotten for recasting without letting the old actor know. So it's realistic they'd reach out to people like Mount. That said, the rumor about ATJ is extremely "red-flag", but the initial rumor about the recast was separate from the ATJ as Maximus rumor, right?

I don't. The fact that the Ms. Marvel show is going to be directly handled by Feige's people rather than Loeb's team on Marvel TV has me thinking them reaching out to Mount was even less likely. I feel the same way about supposed bad buzz had they not contacted him - nobody liked the Inhumans show, so it's not like it would've been some huge PR nightmare for the company if Anson Mount made an offhanded comment in an interview about how nobody had told him they were recasting.

Almost perfect. But I would have Rory as Gorgon and have Kayvan play a more expressive character. Put his impressions skills to use.

I see no reason why they can't just throw the Inhumans into the MCU as characters in the world. No need for a franchise just yet. Captain Marvel would be an easy fit with shared history with the Kree, but they could easily appear in Guardians and maybe even Thor.

They should appear in Fantastic Four.

I always thought they should anyway. They'd be like the crew of Star Trek visiting an alien planet and coming across an alien society. That's how it would be with the FF encountering the Inhumans and their customs.

At least in the movies there wouldn't be any shaving of Medusa's head within the first 15 minutes.
