Marvel Films MCU Phase IV!

once all solo heroes get their sequel and Feige presents the new ones, he'll do Avengers 5.
So my guess is it will arrive one year after Captain America 4 or 2 years later in case he plans to introduce another new lead. Who could it be? who the hell knows, lol.

Right now, Im just wondering if Feige/Sony agreed to have Spiderwoman as an Avengers member by the time they make A5.

2024 would mean a Avengers film in the first year of a new phase. Instead they've always been last or 2nd to last(phase 3 being the exception since there were 2 Avengers movies).

They'll probably want to spend the first two years of the new phase telling more solo stories and establishing more new heroes. Hate to say it but I don't think we'll get a new Avengers movie until 2026.

That sounds about right. Probably need some time to not only establish the newer heroes to build up anticipation, but also decide who would actually be on a new Avengers team. Captain America II, Vision, Ant-Man, Wasp and Captain Marvel seem like locks, but who else is still a question mark. Will Spider-Man still be in the cards by then or will another deal have to be worked out with Sony? There's Scarlet Witch but will she be a good guy or bad guy after Doctor Strange 2? Will Strange himself be involved or is he too busy for teams? Is Don Cheadle still gonna be around as War Machine after Armor Wars or is he gonna bow out? What's gonna happen with Smart Hulk and Bucky?

Then you've got a huge wealth of new characters about to enter the MCU who have been Avengers in the comics (I'm excluding the teen characters like Ironheart, Ms. Marvel, Kate Bishop and America Chavez because I'm certain the intention there is to do a Young Avengers movie or series): Monica Rambeau as Spectrum, Shang-Chi, She-Hulk, Jane Foster as Thor (assuming that's not just a one-off thing), Moon Knight, Sersi, Black Knight, Blade, Namor and whoever ends up the new Black Panther after the end of Wakanda Forever. Whittling that possible list down to a workable team for a 2 and a half hour movie sounds like a challenge in its own right.

Avenger5 could be all legacy characters / characters taking someone's mantle
Iron Heart
She-Hulk
Jane Foster
Sam Wilson
Yelena
Kate Bishop
Cassie
Shuri

Or it could be a miX of old and new
Dr. Strange, Scott Lang, Capt. Marvel, Hope, Peter Parker, Sam, Kate, Yelena, Jane, Riri, Jenn, Shuri, Kamala, Sersi, Black Knight, WandaVision

I would be surprised if any of the OGs - Clint, Bruce, Nick and Thor are included. I don't see War Machine and any of the GOTG being in the roster as well.

I'm meh on the idea of a "Young Avengers" ,so I hope thats a D+ show.

There’s tonnes of options!

With the marketing for Shang-Chi blatantly saying he's the neXt Avenger. I hope that's the case and not just a bait for audience.

Everything points to that and he would add diversity and power variety to the roster. I look forward to seeing him interact with heroes and then coming back to do his own thing in his solos.

Would be awesome seeing ShangChi, She-Hulk and Spiderwoman joining the alive members on Avengers 5.
we'll see what happens!

She Hulk is probably confirmed, it would be a missed opportunity after the show they gave her.

Spider-Woman is unlikely, unless Disney wants to negotiate another character with Sony that Sony would want to eXploit for their own Marvel movies.

This would be my roster for A5, taking into account what Marvel is doing with D+:

Captain Marvel
new Black Panther
Captain America (Sam)
Doctor Strange
Scarlet Witch
Spiderman
Antman
Wasp
Ms Marvel
Kate Bishop
ShangChi
SheHulk
Spiderwoman

I know they can still add more (Black Knight, MoonKninght and co) but I think those would be anough and a pretty powerfull and diverse roster.

With these kinds of numbers they would likely have to split into 2 teams with different missions within a film (before meeting for the final confrontation) which could be really cool. Some of the younger ones could be saved for Young Avengers as @psylockolussus mentioned but I don’t mind if they appear in the senior film as back up too and to increase interactions between everyone.

I get what you mean. Thats one of the reasons I dont want more members, because that to me wouldnt actually be an "Avengers" movie/team. I want another of the earlier movies, just a team of avengers working together, without plenty other characters from other franchises (Guardians, supporting from solo movies, Eternals, etc, etc). I want to feel there is an Avenger team again, like in A1 and A2. I dont want a huge event, just an Avengers movie, with the Avengers dealing with a lower profile villain that doesnt need the whole world together to stop him. Id like to see the Avengers mansion (like some comics Ive been reading recently), or at least the avengers living/spending some time on the same place, to really connect with these characters and see how they feel about each other.... more casual talk and daily stuff, you know? not just teaming-up in 2 days for a huge battle and call it a day.

My Avenger5 roster would be
Ant-Man and the Wasp
Spider-Man (final mcu film)
Doctor Strange M.D.
Shuri
Captain Marvel
Shang-Chi
Black Knight
She Hulk
And some representation for Eternals and Fantastic Four

I really can't muster eXcitement for those who are taking the mantle of the original six (eXcept for She Hulk). Like I'd have rather a smaller team than also spread screentime for Capt. America 2, Black Widow II, Hawkeye Dos, Iron Man ReduX, Ms. Marvel and Jane Thor. To me, the point of giving Ant-Man, Carol, Stephen, Shang and Tchalla (before Chadwick passed away), their solo movies, is that they would be replacing the original Avengers and be the Avengers for A5 and A6. But these continous passing of the mantel and introduction of legacy characters in phase 4 + the long wait is making me think other wise and the team would be bloated and not ideal to what I want.

I'd like to see Moon Knight as well maybe not in Avengers 5 but AvengerSiX. Deadpool, take it or leave it. While I'd rather see the mutants star in multiple team X-Men movies before some of them Assembled with the Avengers. Scarlet Witch, War Machine and Vision.... I need to see their neXt adventure 1st but I also think appearing in A2 to A4 is enough for them eXpecially War Machine.

I think 8 characters for the avengers team is maximum for me. I want the figures can interact, breathe, act as a team bute each one have a compelling arc at the same time. With more characters in it, you throw someone under the bus somehow.

I cant remember a single interaction between Natasha and Thor.

She told Thor that Loki killed plenty of people and Thor replied "he's adopted."

A Young Avengers mini series would be a Huge get for Disney+ though.

So Avengers 5 in the movies (with my ideal line up). Then Young Avengers for D+ as a culmination for the first dozen of MCU shows for D+.

With no Thanos level threat any external character like Eternals, Guardians, F4, X-Men or random heroes the Avengers encounter can just add to the background (& richness) of the film without them having to be present beyond that encounter. Like consulting some specialist in their field before parting ways as the non-Avengers heroes also have threats to deal with. That can keep it all Avengers team focused.

My villain for A5 is Kang then Galactus in A6. If not someone smaller in A6 then Galactus in A7.

Not sure if they could introduce someone like Thanos again, that they literally had more or less20 movies before they faced him in full force.

For the year, I hope its
2024 - Avenger5
2027 - AvengerSix
2030 - AvengerSeven

Damn, I'm so old by that time. I think the X-Men should be the last Ip that they should introduce after the Fantastic Four, Blade and Deadpool. They still have Daredevil, Ghost Rider, the Inhumans and the Punisher but I would save them when there are fewer ips to mine.

Still so many characters to introduce to the MCU.

Adam Warlock
Beta Ray Bill
Blue Marvel
Captain Britain
Daredevil
Ghost Rider
Hercules
Iron Fist
Jessica Jones
Joe Fixit
Luke Cage
Man-Thing
Moondragon
Nova
Punisher
Sentry
Silver Surfer
Spider-Woman
Swordsman
Werewolf by Night
Wonder Man

WhenI said the X-Men as the last ip, I meant an Ip getting a movie. After the mutants I seriously don't know which one is neXt.

-Warlock is probably appearing in Gotg 3.
-I don't see them doing Beta Ray Bill when there's four Thor movies and female Thor.
-If Moon Knight didn't get a movie, I don't see why Jessica Jones, Iron Fist and Luke Cage would.
-Silver Surfer is lumped with the F4. Its not a separate ip.
-Swordsman if used, is likely going to be utilized for Hawkeye or Avengers.
-The rest like Capt. Britain, Blue Marvel, Hercules, Werewolf by Night, Man Thing. I don't see a potential for a solo movie.
-Again Spider-Woman would have to be negotiated with Sony.
-Wonder Man isn't going to be used imo.
-I don't know who Joe fiXit is.

So that leaves Sentry, Moondragon and Nova which could be featuredin any movie set in space.

I'm not necessarily advocating for each to get their own solo movies. Simply to be included in the MCU in some capacity.

A lot of those would probably show up in the mcu in the neXt nine years.

Daredevil (at least Matt Murdock) is rumored for No Way Home as Peter's attorney. Also rumored for Echo spinoff in Hawkeye. Hercules is rumored since Russell Crowe is playing Zeus in Thor: Love and Thunder. Swordsman will be in Hawkeye, played by Tony Dalton from Better Call Saul. The Wrap did say that there will be a Disney+ Halloween MCU Special for next year, with casting for a main character starting soon (rumored to be Werewolf by Night).

Link of article of the Hawkeye cast, including Tony Dalton as Swordsman:

'Hawkeye' Disney Plus Series Adds Florence Pugh, Vera Farmiga and More - Variety

Dalton will play Jack Duquesne, more than likely a take on the Marvel character Jacques Duquesne or Swordsman. An early mentor to Hawkeye, Swordsman has been both a hero and a villain in the Marvel comics.

Captain America 4
Dark Avengers
Shang-Chi 2
The Mutants
