Marvel Films MCU Phase IV!

My guesses for villains aside from Taskmaster, Zemo and Mandarin in Phases 4 and 5

Eternals - The Deviants (Do they even have other villains?)

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness - Nightmare (Derrickson all but confirmed it. I personally prefer Shuma Gorath)

WandaVision - I have no idea

Loki - Hela (please bring her back!)

Hawkeye - Tracksuit Mafia (not like there are many other options)

Ghost Rider - The Orb (I want a villain we haven't seen yet and somebody a bit more grounded for the first season)

Thor: Love and Thunder - Enchantress and Lorelei (the name is a dead giveaway, please keep Elena Satine as Lorelei)

Blade - Dracula (And do him right this time!)

Hellstrom - Mephisto (He fits the bill better than anyone else)

Black Panther 2 - Doctor Doom (Best way to use the new Fox rights, TBH)

Spider-Man 3 - Scorpion (he was teased, JJJ is now in the MCU. Time to bring him in)

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3 - Magus (Can't have Adam Warlock without Magus)

Fantastic Four - Annihilus (give us a villain we haven't seen yet and stop forcing Doom into the FF's origin)

Captain Marvel 2 - Galen Kor (I really want to see him head to Earth with the Lunatic Legion to capture and try Carol)

Avengers 5 - Kang (end Phase 5 with a bang. A villain who managed to take over the world in 30 seconds who has send a past version of Black Widow to infiltrate the Avengers and destroy them from within)

Also hoping that those rumors about the Hulk/She-Hulk team-up series and War Machine series on Disney+ turn out to be true come 2022 when Phase 5 starts and we also get around to seeing Hulu bring back The Defenders series with Moon Knight joining the team.

Phase 6 is when the focus will likely shift to the X-Men in 2025.

And if the rumors are true about those series...

Hulk/She-Hulk - Leader

War Machine - Mauler or Termite

Moon Knight - Raul Bushman

Daredevil - Mr. Fear

Luke Cage - Atlas and Warhawk

Jessica Jones - Songbird

Iron Fist - Davos finally becoming Steel Serpent and teaming up with Zhou Cheng

Punisher - Barracuda

And please give us some Disney+ series for Young Avengers, New Mutants, Avengers Academy and Power Pack

Interesting schedule annouced.

I'm most interested in Shang chi and Dr strange.

Any confirmation Nightmare is the villain? The annouced plot doesn't seen Nightmare conducive

I am not happy at Thor:Love and Thunder. The title tells me that it's going to be more Ragnarok and less infinity war.I was hoping for Infinity war Thor

I'm not surprised that X-Men won't be in Phase 4 as the franchise needed to take a break. Don't really care nor exctied for Captain Marvel 2, Doctor Strange 2, Thor Love and Thunder. I'm surpised that Natalie Portman will be in that Thor movie considering she seemed to be done with the role, but I guess Fiege promised her that Jane Foster will not be a generic love interest again but she will have some importance to the story and her having the powers of Thor is a bold choice, I just hope that its executed well. I just hope Lady Thor doesn't signify the end of Chris Hemsworth as Thor.

But overall I'm excited for the most of the movies/TV shows that have been announced. I just hope that Blade won't be PG 13 and that its R rated (but I doubt Disney would ever allow that).

OK the What If...? has my attention.

The Eternals would be my most anticipated.

  • May 1, 2020: “Black Widow”
  • November 6, 2020: “The Eternals”
  • February, 12, 2021: “Shang-Chi and The Legend of the Ten Rings”
  • May 7, 2021: “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness”
  • November 5, 2021: “Thor: Love and Thunder”
My guess for the next release dates:
  • February 18, 2022: Black Panther 2
  • May 6, 2022: GOTG 3
  • July 29, 2022: Fantastic 4 (with Antman)
Blade will come before F4 since the lead actor has already been cast. F4 might be 2023.

yea I know youd just think for marvels first family they would want a grand announcement which i'm sure well get. it just felt a little cheap just they get a passing mention. I know its still early days though.
I don't think they have a title for it yet. That's what comic-con 2020 is for. We'll get the rest. At least now we know it's coming.

Hoenstly, I’m just grateful they even got mentioned at all. Actually the fact that they didn’t announce a release date or firm announcement is a good thing since you want to save that for another time when you can shine the spotlight on them. A firm FF announcement should be saved for another time.

By that time Krasinski’s hair will naturally be salt and pepper by then

I am predicting that Jane gets the power from Mjolnir being reassembled somehow. I am guessing Enchantress is possibly the villain given the title.

Maybe they're saving the really big announcements for D23. They need to keep something for that.
I’m thinking we don’t see anymore announcements til Comic-Con 2021. Then they do this all again lol

I think Spider-Man 3 in July 2021 is very possible

Before the post above you I was thinking the same. Now I'm not sure. It might be on Sony to announce it but Marvel are the ones who decide which phase it fits in

Regardless if Spidey gets released in July 2021, the BO of that film still goes to Sony so Marvel could care less IMO. As long as the story fits within the wider MCU then it's all good for them. :oldrazz:

Feige says this can shift in the interview, and Sony are the ones who announce the Spider-Man dates. They're a Sony release, this fall under their release schedule. So I wouldn't be shocked at all if Sony announces it in a few months

Wow, so no Avengers film to close out the phase. We're in a whole new world!

The fact there was no Ant-Man announcement is pretty telling.....

....Feige didn’t even mention Ant-Man 3 along with the movies that weren’t even annouced with dates like FF, X-Men, Captain Marvel/Black Panther sequels, and even Blade.

Deadpool I suspect will be handed over to Fox for the time being and I think Marvel will largely leave that alone to Fox while they take over the reins of FF and X-Men from them. But it seems Marvel isn’t in a hurry to do a Ant-Man 3.

Wow, so no Avengers film to close out the phase. We're in a whole new world!
Fun fact: With the exception of Phase 1, no Avengers film has ever closed out a Marvel Phase. Phase 2 was closed off with an Ant-Man film, and Phase 3 ended with a Spider-Man film.

What? This means Phase 4 will only last 2 years. Weird

That way they can set up something like SECRET WARS and get to The Four and X-Men faster. I know the company line is that it's going to be a while, but I don't think it will be as long as people think.

This.

They just bought themselves a few more years to map out Marvel's next big arc.
