Marvel Films MCU Phase IV!

Yeah, the possibilities are really endless this coming year. Excited to see how Marvel juggles the advertising so people don't granite too much towards one thing

I saw a breakdown of all the 2021 stuff and it's really crazy how it seems they'll basically have enough content to have almost weekly releases all year with all the D+ shows and movies. I'm just watching Mandalorian for the first time and it often looks movie quality. This really is an unprecedented release for a franchise and it's crazy to me how the MCU has once again changed the way film/tv franchises work.

Yeah honestly thanks to the MCU everyone gonna have to step up their content this coming year.

Blade is confirmed for Phase 4, meaning vampire lore will enter MCU.
I wonder how they'll explain that. Have these creatures always been around or are they a product of the snap(s)?
If the former is the case, surely SHIELD/HYDRA must have known about them somehow.
If not them, then The Ancient One.
And the elite among the asgardians would have known. It don't make sense for them not to.
So, what's the reason for keeping it a secret from the heroes?

Daredevil is almost confirmed for Phase 4. Not having his own film though
Will he cross paths with Blade at one point?

Which one of them is more likely to have a role, or to do a cameo, in the Avengers team-up that ends the phase?

I'd like to see more crossover in MCU in the future. That step has been taken with a lot of characters from the movies getting their TV shows. Why not the opposite. DD, in particular, could be a real addition to some of the feature length movies.

He could probably show up in Blade's film.
Daredevil might be a Black Widow-esque character in the way he's only a supporting character in someone else's solo adventure and also a part of the Avengers, but not his own film (for a long time)

One of my favorite early FF comic runs was with DD "And a Blind Man Shall Lead Them" though I doubt this would be something they'd do in a FF movie.

Yeah, with a number of shows releasing new individual episodes throughout the year week by week, there will be an almost continuous stream of content moving the universe forward.

Regarding vampires, my go-to theory to explain why they were not a big thing beforehand: they used to be nearly extinct. The Barrier the Sorcerer Supreme maintained, combined with centuries of effective action by various monster hunters and mystics and such, had effectively purged their numbers such that, come the 20th century? Vampires basically only still existed in one or two isolated stronghold locations ( think "Transylvania" ), and maybe a double handful of wandering predators *worldwide*. Groups like SHIELD or Hydra may or may not have been aware of them, but only as lone oddities of no real importance, and Kamar Taj knew about them, but only as one of many low priority occult hazards. Thus, the only people to really care about vampires were the odd vampire hunting lineages that might still remain, and most of them are focused on hunting *a specific* vampire, more than a species.

This all goes out the window after the events of Dr Strange 1. The Barrier dropped for a while, a big wave of dark magic flooded in, and suddenly a lot of the old monstery things and easy black magic that used to be dormant is now active again. This includes vampires: the active ones are now much more powerful, a whole lot of slumbering vampires just woke up, and everyone finds it much easier to embrace new fledglings than before.

I think Blade might just be another Stark employee who retired because he was getting a bit long in the tooth.

Something similar for X-Men? That is what some people have suggested.

Perhaps mutants and vampires are two sides of the same coin?

They could make the Fantastic Four former interns of Stark Industries and Deadpool as a former security guard in Tony's building.

Um, no, not in the slightest. Also, that's more than a little dubious of a comparison, you might want to stop and think about the implications thereof.

I mean the way they existence is explained in MCU.

Let me show you.
I will now use your post but remove the word vampire and things related to exclusively vampires.

"Regarding mutants, a theory to explain why they were not a big thing beforehand: they used to be nearly extinct. The Barrier the Sorcerer Supreme maintained, combined with centuries of effective action by a number of armed mutant hunters, had effectively purged their numbers such that, come the 20th century? Mutants basically only still existed in one or two isolated stronghold locations, and maybe a double handful of them wandering *worldwide*. Groups like SHIELD or Hydra may or may not have been aware of them, but only as lone oddities of no real importance, and Kamar Taj knew about them, but only as one of the many low priority freaks that exist. Thus, the only people to really care about mutants were the few mutant hunting people that might still remain, and most of them are focused on hunting down and killing a certain powerful mutant to get rid of the threat, more than caring about mutants as a whole species.

This all goes out the window after the events of Dr Strange 1. The Barrier dropped for a while, a big wave of dark magic flooded in, and suddenly the latent mutant genes that many people have, is now activated. This includes the mutants themselves: they are now much more powerful, and regular people have now become mutants too.
Now, there are too many mutants popping up everywhere to ignore their existence"

That's where the similarity lays. The history of these people and the explanation behind the awakening.
Sorry if you thought I was thinking that mutants and vampires are a similar kind of beings

Namor isn't getting a movie unless Universal hands out the rights. We all know how complicated Disney's relationship is with Universal.

And Sony moving Morbius to October... yeah Spidey is definitely going to be moved to neXt year. Xpect more delays for the phase 4 films.
